Kyrou played less than one full shift after the Boton Game
The main point though is that you taking a victory lap on your anti-Kyrou agenda after one (or two) full games is absurd. I don't love Kyrou by any means but you can't take a guy that puts up the goals and points he does, replace it with nothing, and think the team will be better long term.
Were you poring over a legal brief when you watched those games?
They had their backs against the wall in both games and nobody backed down.
Its a different bench and a different team.
I don’t think you get close enough to smell those things.
if you did, you would acknowledge that this team is better.
Also people with a room temperature IQ would also be able to discern if the puck is not deposited in the net (generating stats) that you won't win a lot of hockey games with those platitudes.
in the broad sense of Hockey IQ. i have seen many teams lose games with a great deal of attitude confidence and swagger.
Nobody wins em all.
The Blues of early in the season would have rolled over and given those games away, wouldn’t they?
Getting outshot 2:1 will not yield a lot of victories and it is irrelevant about how hard you play. Those platitudes have to ultimately end up in you getting more possession and further more shots/goals.

Your idea of swagger seems to be derived from numbers and a detached viewpoint, rather than the way fought like hell to win those games- even though their numbers were bad.

For as much [shirt] as Buch and Sundqvist get on this forum nonstop, they have been 2 of the best players on the team very recently.
Re: Kyrou Injury
Well I think it's because they finally don't have to watch that selfish loafer Walker float around on the ice that they're starting to compete...
Seriously though, what would it say about the "compete" of the rest of the players if watching one supposed floater in Kyrou is enough to demoralize them all? What a dumb argument.

I don't think you easily replace Kyrous production, 30+ goal scorers don't grow on trees, but he also brings back the best package of players, so if they go on a little streak while he is out, I think its time to seriously look into seeing what you can get.

I believe the argument is that the lack of effort from one of your most skilled players is dragging the rest of the team down. Especially when he makes dumb passes all of the time instead of shooting.Ziggy3 wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 15:41 pm Well I think it's because they finally don't have to watch that selfish loafer Walker float around on the ice that they're starting to compete...![]()

In your quote, which is a snip and not the entire conversation, I never claimed Buch had a high hockey IQ, did I?
I wouldn’t.
He is not a low intelligence player, he just keeps it dirt simple and plays hard and honestly every shift.
In your snippet, it appears I am defending Buch from your claim that his IQ is low. You support that claim by making the case that making a bad decision not only negates laudable efforts, but implies a low IQ and leads to “meaningless” play.
I countered with the fact he leads every player on this roster in Playoff Assists, and if that fact implies low IQ and a “meaningless” effect on the ice…. then doesn’t every other player on this roster need to worry about a low IQ?
I expected more from you and was disappointed to the point of foolish exasperation.
Again, my apologies for the slur.

I suspect his comment was sarcastic humor. I can't imagine that anyone who closely follows this team would type that and be serious about it. Just my 2 cents.
