I ignore anyone who says Bader was a legitimate bat.
They’re not making a bust of Bader for the HOF, but he’s better than any of the incumbent Cardinal outfielders. Are you still trying to justify your numerous mistakes, Mr. Mozo?

lol it’s hilarious that people were saying bader sucks when he was here and trade him then they get rid of him he goes on to suck elsewhere for several years then has a good season this season at age 31 and people are like bader is awesome shouldn’t have got rid of him bring him back lol just remember if they dump Scott or church they may have break out seasons at age 31 and you will be complaining how stupid the cardinals were for getting rid of them

I’m not saying we should go drooling with rapt anticipation and get Bader back. I’m just saying that our current OF is so bad that they’re hitting worse than Bader.
And, at least Bader was a good defensive center fielder.
Unfortunately, we need someone as good as Bader is defensively and better than he is as a hitter. Unless we can get more pop elsewhere in the lineup such that we can afford a couple “good field poor hit” players. We won 2 pennants in 67-68 with Dal Maxvill as SS.
But, yeah, I am not advocating getting Bader back.
