It's pretty obvious, from the last two years of Mayson Winn, that clear cut starters receive less days off.

But say Cards have played a bunch in a row. The team has an offday on Monday. Oli let's JJ know that he will get Sunday off so he's has two days to regroup. If JJ gets 3 hits on Saturday, the days off should still stand. Not: "Oh man, he hot! Gotta ride dat hot hand!"

I think Walker, Gorman, Herrera, Scott, Winn, Burleson, were the primary young players to be
given the PT.

Burleson played 139 games, IL wrist for 10 games 13 games off
Winn played 129 games, IL knee and back for 28 games, 5 games off
Scott played 138 games, IL ankle 13 games, 11 games off
Herrera played 107 games, IL knee and hammy for 51 games, 3 games off
Gorman played 111 games, IL Back and hammy for 22 games 29 games off maybe a case
Walker played 111 games, IL Wrist and appendix 32 games, 19 games off

I'm not thinking these guys set a lot considering their offensive struggles, The DH/1B positional
