My CardsTalk addiction started with the infamous "Our Season Is Over" thread - at that point I just lurked. There was some active moderation, doing something to try to keep this place as Pollyanna as cranny would like. They would break out the ban-hammer for profanity back then, but that hasn't been the case for more than a decade.

cranny's lamentations while somewhat based in fact, are little more than "good ol' days" romanticizing.
