Fermin is a backup. Unfortunately we have to use backups during DHers. We've just played a ton of those the past 2 years. NLC needs more roofs.

And maybe we could hide Fermin better in a different part of the lineup?

Curt Simmons?
Very stylish lefty and IIRC he used to drive Aaron crazy.
Often described him as "herky-jerky", lots of motion.

...Cards have had RISP all 3 innings played...only one hit though... That has come to bite them not only early, but possibly later in the game also

We don’t have to bat them 5th behind our hottest batter, though!

It will be 61 years ago tomorrow that Aaron hit a HR off Simmons but was called out because the umpire said he stepped out of the batter box.

Need at least 5 innings from Mathews.
Effectively wild so far.

I believe the interviews are a vehicle to try and do this.

Yes they're too long but I can see why its being done.
There are far better ways to market young players. This is aggravating and boring. No one tunes in to WATCH people talk about nothing, while the game is going on.
I'm not arguing that it is I'm just giving a possible reason for it.
I know...really hoping these interviews become less and less, and the audio is fine...we don't need to watch them speak into a mic, while the game is playing in the "background".
