You are getting your rear handed to you Mel. Just in case you are keeping score. Pro tip- name calling makes you look defeated and juvenile.

Who picks the manager?
DeWitt.
Next question, please.
You get into a baseball discussion with me you'll be lucky to finish third.

Easy.
Obvious.
Correct.

Who did ownership hire to hire the manager?
DeWitt hired The Marmot long before Bloom joined the organization.
Chaim had no say in the matter.
I must admit to being a bit surprised that you were unaware of that fact.
Now, if I were an unkind person, I might be tempted to conclude that if you got into a baseball conversation with yourself, neither of you would learn a thing.
But, I am too gracious and too much the gentleman to go down that route.
I am only and always about the game.
You are a complete moron.

I know exactly who hired Marmol and it was under this ownership. Never said anything about Bloom and unless you are duller than dirt you would know that.

Gentleman? Don't forget to add liar to your resume.

And you'd always finish third.

You're as dull on the subject as a butter knife and as full of [shirt] as a Christmas goose.

Now go down that road fraud.
Look at that jerk off projecting out his own stupidity. He is the only one talking to himself and he is as dumb as they come. The fact he brought it up shows everyone is getting to him and sees through his idiotic persona. He hasn't ever managed or coached anything in his life. He is probably one of the biggest losers on this board. I prefer Shady much more. They got rid of wrong clown.
Happy Sunday friend.
It is never about me and it is most regrettable when others attempt to make it so.
But, I understand your post with perfection.
Some get a bit emotional when a sports team hits a downward spiral and release their frustration by needlessly lashing out.
I am always cognizant of that fact and take it into consideration when I see such behavior.
As for me, I am only and always about the game.
I encourage others to maintain that same focus - and I am gracious, kind, and gracious to those who cannot because I fully appreciate the passion they have for their team.

The only bullpen addition that BDWJr allowed him to make was adding R. Stanek who after a rough season has really come around and built back some trade value (Last 13 G: 1.59 ERA).

The rest he inherited from Mo, including the minor league call-ups.

BDWJr/Mo are the one's who need to be "embarrassed" by this bullpen.

Buddy, you don’t understand what a rebuild is.

Unlike many (as evidenced in this thread) who are incapable of dialogue absent of personal invective, I never engage in such behavior as "name calling".
I simply will not do it.
I find it best to treat others with kindness and respect - whether deserved or not.
As for this thread, my position has remained unassailable.
It defies logic to blame Bloom for a roster which was +9 previously and is now -3 just a few weeks later.
With the same available roster.
It is ridiculous and inconsistent to blame Bloom for a 12-game swing to the negative and a drop from holding the #1 WC spot to the #11 spot in the league.
What IS CONSISTENT is the fact that this pattern of a 2nd half fade has been repeated by The Marmot for each of the past 4 seasons.
Facts.
All I do.
Free of bias.
Free of agenda.
But unfailingly with cheer and goodwill to everyone.

There were many who were rightfully aware that the extension never should have happened.
It should have been painfully obvious to anyone who knows and understands this game.
He only signed a 2 year deal. I can't imagine it was for a bag of money. Easy enough to fire him.
Marmol is under contract through the 2028 season.

You are the one that has no clue …. In a true rebuild you would be playing Blaze over Fermin, Mathews over Libby …..Dobbins would be pitching in the pen ,,,,,the trades made in the offseason would have been for major league ready talent …. Not lotto tickets that likely won’t hit anything ….. the only rebuild trade they made was Donny…. The rest were 100 percent salary dumps

Have to agree this was never a rebuild. This has been and continues to be a SAlARY DUMP, in anticipation of a lockout or the selling of the team. One thing is for sure, Bloom knew what he was getting into and he has been less than honest.

What happens during rebuilds:
1. Vets are traded for prospects.
2. Payroll is reduced.
3. At times, veterans are signed to short term deals to cover innings and flip at the deadline.

So...what about 2026 does not look like a rebuild?

Well you bought into the "rebuild" language, not me. Oh and we've been rebuilding for years now and you still buy it, and we're not even close. LOL Try this, a WINNING team has a balanced mixture of vets, rookies and in-betweens, in fact, any good team has this. Keep drinking the koolaid!
