Bernal Doyle and Cjintje is btv value but Baltimore won't do that. Neither would the Cardinals.Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑01 Aug 2026 15:47 pmBernal, Pallante, and Cjintje?2ninr wrote: ↑01 Aug 2026 15:23 pmThat wouldn't be near enough. It's not even worth talking about. That's two big arms and a future organizational catcher. Bet Baltimore would be intrigued but yeah, I'd not want to give up all that.2ninr wrote: ↑01 Aug 2026 16:02 pmBernal Doyle and Cjintje is btv value but Baltimore won't do that. They have Basallo signed for 8 years. Our catchers are meaningless to them long term. They have a short term need due to injury.

I wish JH all the success, but he’s in season 3 and his mlb career has been a bit of a mess.
Can he be like JJ? Maybe. But he hasn’t.
The team needs pitching and OFers. I would keep those guys.

I personally dont think Cijntje's switch pitching is all that and he has a long way to go. But I think he can be solid as a reliever or a starter. As a switch pitcher? Maybe not.
But I’m still high on him as a positive contributor, at least like a Gallegos

We definitely need good relievers. Yes sure, I'll let the Cardinals development experts figure him out. Just seems like wasting time having him switch pitchecleme22 wrote: ↑01 Aug 2026 22:39 pmThe cards know more than us, so if he’s traded, then there you go.RunSup wrote: ↑01 Aug 2026 22:34 pmI personally dont think Cijntje's switch pitching is all that and he has a long way to go. Holiday is a pipe dream anyway.
