God forbid anyone should show emotion. We can't upset the old fart bag fans. I'm a young fan. I don't want to see PCA showing up my team. Bottom line.BrockFloodMaris wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 15:13 pmGod forbid anyone should show emotion. We can't upset the old fart bag fans. I didn’t have a lot of issues with the bat flip. It’s where the game has gone. It was the showing up the birds on his trip around the bases I had issues with. Do your bat flip or whatever, then trot your donkey around the bases and then get back into your dugout and celebrate with your teammates.Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 15:09 pmWell not quite.ecleme22 wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 13:44 pmSo he dropped his bat on the plate… who caresCardinals4Life wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 13:39 pmGrow up?
How about you get a clue?
Showing emotion completely different than showing up.
Again, he can choose to show whatever emotion he wants. Those emotions should have consequences.
Cardinals should.
PCA goes above and beyond what should tolerated by other teams.

Outside the fact it wasn't disrespectful and it was kinda cool I see your point. It hides your jealously of a really good player on your team's biggest rival. I guess it shouldn't be brought up that it wouldn't have happened if he was pitched to better.Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 12:44 pm That is the question......
After that disrespectful bat flip in the 10th and hos overall arrogant behavior the real question is when, not if. Right?
Let's hear your thoughts.

I would hope we'd show our "younger fans" the difference between showing fire and disrespecting your opponent.
If people dont know the difference then they should refrain from commenting on it.

He didn’t just flip the bat. He did it at our catcher’s feet. Then celebrated around the bases like he’d just won the World Series in a walk-off. Wanna send a message? Drill the next batter up. Give PCA a guilt trip and make a teammate mad at him.

Please explain why it was disrespectful? Is it any worse than a hog pile at home plate after the winning run scored? Who's celebration was biggerCardinals4Life wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 12:44 pm That is the question......

PCA staring back at HIS dugout?
The entire cardinal team jumping up and down at home plate?
Some of you fans and even something players have to toughen up.

Less than a month ago, the Cardinals were up 15 runs, in Chicago they kept the pedal to the floor. Did that also hurt your feelings?
I just am amazed ar how soft some of you are.

I'm neither But i'm also not a butt hurt little baby who doesn't get mad at his team for failing to get a guy out but is outraged at the the guy that beats my team and has some fun doing it. But you be you. I'm sure you are ball to hang out with.Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 16:21 pmIt wasnt disrespectful? Like I said there's a line you shouldn't cross.
I like fire eaters but you can show emotion and not do it at the expense of an opponent.

Score three runs in the bottom of the inning and make his efforts irrelevant.

Haha funny take! Didn’t he direct his chest thumping towards his own dugout too? I think it’s disrespectful to taunt the other team’s dugout, but it’s more of a “team celebration” when a player directs his emotions towards his own teammates. Our guys do that a lot.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 14:34 pm I don't give a hoot about the bat flip- but it's never a bad day to drill PCA.
