I think CT pretty much has your ACT figured out! LOLGoldfan wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 20:51 pmWas I the starting SS who made this comment? Your focus always on me(act) is quite flattering. The GG starting SS makes a comment where he’s obviously not too happy about having a winning team…..indicating they could win out til years end….and management would still trade players.Cusecards wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 20:39 pmYou can’t possibly be surprised by any of his act? That’s kinda like the current roster. Upset now, then all will be forgiven when the team starting winning in ‘27.

Re: Team negatively affected by Bloom selling not supporting
lol the team could have made it impossible for them to sell by playing well if the cardinals were playing well they could have made it a PR disaster for them to sell and if the cardinals were well positioned to make the post season it’s very doubtful Dewitt would have let him do a sell off knowing they could make more money if they make the post season. Instead they made it very easy to sell the Dewitt’s to support the sell off and the fans to support the sell off lol so they were pretty dumb if they were losing because they were pouting over a potential sell offGoldfan wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 20:53 pmWhen will it be ownership and FO responsibility to put in the effort and announce when it’s time to put a winning team on the field?? As I’ve been writing most of the season….you don’t tell a group of young competitive athletes who have been winning to sacrifice their very few athletic career winning opportunities because they are “good enough”……when they were good enough for 2.5mths. This team quit because “they knew they could win every game to the end of season and Bloom would still trade guys”

Re: Team negatively affected by Bloom selling not supporting
Before I form an opinion on this quote, was there any context? Were there any comments prior or after that single sentence? Or was it just a one sentence quote and then he walked away?
For instance was it prefaced with something like, "Bloom has told us all season that this is year 1 of a re-build and we don't currently have the horses or the depth to make a deep playoff run."
..and then the quote.
Or was it prefaced with something like, "Bloom told us if we played well and showed we could compete then he'd change course and add. Turns out he lied to us."
...and then the quote.
Two very different scenarios.

Its like you never watched baseball. Teams do this all the time. Stay hot for 60 games...hell the Crew did it just a few years ago and then flailed in the second half.Goldfan wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 18:57 pm “We could win every game for the rest of the year, and [Chaim Bloom] would still trade guys."

That's why I asked the question. If he prefaced it with the first of my made up quotes, it means he knows what the plan is and understands that this is a re-build and the selling was always gonna happen.Goldfan wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 21:06 pmWhat do you think a Pro player is expressing when he says something like this??imyourhuckleberry wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 21:03 pm Before I form an opinion on this quote, was there any context? If a variation of the second of my made up quotes he would sound (upset).
Ultimately it doesn't matter. You're gonna think the absolute worst because that's who you are, the eternal whining complainer who hates every move the teams makes and every move the team doesn't make. I'd prefer some context before I make a judgment.

The team has been going through the motions and losing badly(see tonight)….and then you see WINN’s comments. I’ll let attempt to piece things together. I wrote weeks ago that you don’t pull the rug on a young team who is competing for the division and leading the WC by telling them it’s not time for them to win…..wait for some magical date in the future. You must be the most clueless fan ever if you think that would go over well with ANY competitive athlete.ecleme22 wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 21:12 pmYou're way too affected by Winn's disappointment.Goldfan wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 21:11 pmecleme22 wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 21:06 pmSure they do.
