I agree. BDW isn't hiring a guy to manage less than a full season in 2027.RunSup wrote: ↑27 Jul 2026 21:04 pmOli is here through 2028. Then Bloom will re-assess. He gets another free pass in 2027.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑26 Jul 2026 22:23 pm Oli Marmol is a lightening rod on this forum. Some strongly support him, others blame him for every world misfortune. So I was wondering, what would cause a managerial change?
Some think BDW and Bloom are waiting for the new CBA. Others (myself included), think Oli is probably here for a while.
So what do you think, Cards Talkers? What could lead to a managerial change? And who would you like to see get the job?

Dig deeper. It's common knowledge.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑27 Jul 2026 22:43 pmIt is metro east area. A StL hat wouldn't be unusual. Do you think he would write something like that and risk getting anything but short answers to questions he asks if he WAS actually getting any type of real information? Especially from Oli. There's still a few guys that don't print things unless they're 100% sure. Oli is here as long as he wants to be if he remains cheaper to ownership. DeWallet runs this like a business. If he can get by with spending less and still make a profit between the team and BPV, he will go on the cheap.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑26 Jul 2026 22:23 pm Oli Marmol is a lightening rod on this forum. Yea honestly I was trying not to go there. You are supposed to have second chances in life. But without expounding on it, I'm not the only one who questions Jones's sources. That's why I asked about where you saw it in the first place. It didn't sound right.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 07:12 amSo odd how that turned out.2ninr wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 04:38 amDig deeper. Not defending Jones because I am unfamiliar with him and his work. I only saw the post pop up under some Cardinals stuff I was looking at.2ninr wrote: ↑28 Jul 2026 07:50 amYea honestly I was trying not to go there. You are supposed to have second chances in life. Sure they do. Jones would have access through his position at the Belleville newspaper.
