Re: Blues Broadcasts
Sad. But true. I notice Bet 365 junk in the top right corner of every Cardinals telecast. Needless to say, I didn't buy the subscription. There's way too many [shirt]ty ads as it is.Stlcardsblues wrote: ↑21 Jul 2026 17:17 pmThat was my hope with the Cardinals telecasts. Unfortunately they replaced FanDuel with a different gambling partner so it’s always on the screen.DawgDad wrote: ↑21 Jul 2026 16:57 pmLikely, yes. Getting rid of all the gambling garbage would actually be a huge improvement in the broadcasts. Of course, they are a source of ad revenue.hotrivets wrote: ↑21 Jul 2026 16:19 pm Sounds exactly like the Cardinal deal so there should be a channel on DirecTV, Charter, plus streaming.

I'm sure it will never happen. But I sure do enjoy listening to McKenna on his weekly guest appearances on WXOS. And when he was on Daily Faceoff's show. I wish there was a way to work him into some telecasts. And put Vitale on the intermission report.

Agreed.... at the very least, at the best, replace Vitale !brianstlou2 wrote: ↑21 Jul 2026 20:27 pmTo complain about the announcers, please Send an email to: broadcast@stlblues.comBobbyOrr wrote: ↑21 Jul 2026 19:06 pmAGREED. ! It's really miserable.stanw wrote: ↑15 Jul 2026 21:13 pmI hear Keber on the radio today, when asked what the Blues are planning to do he did say they will be going with the same set up as last year, him and Vitale on both the radio and TV, but claimed he knew nothing about the TV plans at this time. I can not understand how we have gotten to this point and they still are not informing the public what the plans are.ShakeyWalton wrote: ↑15 Jul 2026 20:30 pm More importantly, are they going to upgrade from the pathetic Kerber/Vitale duo?
Please don’t make us go through another year of Vitale. Kerbs I can handle, Vitale is terrible to listen to for many reasons…his grumbly voice, his yapping, making it all about him and his family - we don’t care about him-, his bad analysis of the game, his manic energy.
At least split the time between Rivers and Vitale. Give us a few games to appreciate the announcers.

I honestly believe McKenna would be in general a good radio host, in addition to an analyst. Now granted, I don’t know his knowledge of baseball, football or other sports, but given the “talent” in this town the previous 5 decades that qualified as worthy and couldn’t pronounce Federko correctly, I’d take my chancesOld_Goat wrote: ↑25 Jul 2026 10:02 amMcKenna would be a real good choice.DIAMONDINTHEROUGH wrote: ↑23 Jul 2026 23:42 pm I'm sure it will never happen. Seems to be a busy guy in his own endeavors, right?
Would he even want it?

Agreed. There are other guys who would be better…namely Rivers, Jamal Mayers, and I agree, I like McKenna a lot as well.2forDiving wrote: ↑25 Jul 2026 11:02 amI honestly believe McKenna would be in general a good radio host, in addition to an analyst. As much as I like Pronger, I didn’t think he added much…was quite disappointed in him. Federko is someone who has been under appreciated.
And of course, could we get Oshie or Eric Johnson on the nights they aren’t doing national work? Both were AWESOME!
Personally I like variety. Would even love to see 3-4 guys rotate. Maybe Rivers, McKenna, and Oshie rotation. I’d even be fine if Kerbs wanted his bff Vitale in for 10-15 games.
