I’m in Texas and Victory has been totally free and has many Dallas games on, if not all. I have the app on my phone. They may not broadcast when there are nationally televised games . I don’t care about the Dallas Stars so it’s not a “go to” app for me except when the Blues play the Stars I have that feed bromwich.

I pay for ESPN + they have most Blues games on. The price has risen each year for this service. I hope to heck that the
NHL and or the Blues do not cut any games from this app friendly premium service. The ESPN + seems to feed from the Blues chosen TV coverage, so I hope they figure something out so long as all non-national games are on set format.

Official: Centralized production format handled by the NHL. Remains to be seen how the distribution will work.

Note that the Wild and Hurricanes have already announced their own networks in conjunction with today's NHL announcement. Guessing the Blues will do the same soon?

Sounds quite similar to the Cardinals, with MLB providing the platform. The NHL does the infrastructure and the Blues sell the advertising and get them on the local cable and satellite outlets and stand alone streaming.

Agree. Hope it ends up with a dedicated cable channel like I have with the Cardinals, at no additional costs/package. I’ve been able to watch the majority of the games, other than a random few they put on a streaming service.

Thanks!

From the Athletic story JR mentions:

"According to the NHL, the production partnership will initially include the Wild, the Carolina Hurricanes, the Columbus Blue Jackets and the St. Louis Blues, and additional clubs could join before the season."

Thanks for posting the links. I've been relying on DirecTV with Center Ice and ESPN+, so I take this as very good news. The potential fly in the ointment is the NHL considers me to be in the Canes broadcast territory, they might enforce some blackouts.

And yes, here in Atlanta with a choice of following the Canes or an out of market team I choose the Blues, thank you (Nashville is actually closer).

This is the Minnesota Wild's plan with its new network:

Thank you for posting. Sounds like it will work out well without much if any disruption for existing arrangements/setups to watch.
Quality of announcers is another topic.

Sounds exactly like the Cardinal deal so there should be a channel on DirecTV, Charter, plus streaming.

Likely, yes. Getting rid of all the gambling garbage would actually be a huge improvement in the broadcasts. Of course, they are a source of ad revenue.

It sounds good so far but I'll wait for the details before I congratulate them for taking care of their viewing fans.

That was my hope with the Cardinals telecasts. Unfortunately they replaced FanDuel with a different gambling partner so it’s always on the screen.

I hear Keber on the radio today, when asked what the Blues are planning to do he did say they will be going with the same set up as last year, him and Vitale on both the radio and TV, but claimed he knew nothing about the TV plans at this time. I can not understand how we have gotten to this point and they still are not informing the public what the plans are.
We deserve so much better than that duo. It's really miserable.
AGREED. ! I'l listen to visiting feed over that every time.

Exactly what I do up in DFW, Russ. See you at the AA Center this season, perhaps.

To complain about the announcers, please Send an email to: broadcast@stlblues.com

Please don’t make us go through another year of Vitale. Kerbs I can handle, Vitale is terrible to listen to for many reasons…his grumbly voice, his yapping, making it all about him and his family - we don’t care about him-, his bad analysis of the game, his manic energy.

At least split the time between Rivers and Vitale. Give us a few games to appreciate the announcers.
