For me these guys are non starters in basically ANY trade talk now for the Blues:

Snuggerud
Carbonneau
Stenberg
Hofer
Fischer
Jiricek

Im a very reluctant maybe on these guys

Neighbours (ugh)
Ralph
Harenstam
Lindstein (several LD in the pipeline, but ugh)
Holloway (could actually be a better LW than BT so probably no)
Kaskimaki (I see AK as having a higher upside than most)

I would think the package has to include some kind of combination of a few of these guys

Kyrou (will he waive, would Ottawa bite)
Buch (probably wont waive and who would want that contract)
STLs 15th OR 31st OR Both if its just Kyrou for BT
Binnington (again doesnt have a lot of value)

throw ins:
Fowler
Suter
Walker
Torop
Finley
Drouin (has to be involved just to move the roster spot)

So basically this is going to be a hard deal to make unless Steen wants to trade some of his more premium prospects which is going to annoy me

That's Freud, isn't it?
If it's a pink hat, would that be Pink Freud?

Now that is quality humor that has been overlooked!
Thanks, Frank, but my wife and adult sons would not call it quality humor. They’d call it another bad Dad Joke.

How do the Panthers afford him (assuming they have what the Sens would want to trade in division)?
This year's first will be a top ten. They could also get Florida's first next year and maybe a prospect. That would get it done.
They don't have the cap room. If they were just to trade picks Ottawa wouldn't eat any of his salary so that would leave them with 7 million to sign 4 players 2 of which are goaltenders. Any team with Stanley Cup hopes aren't going to have two unproven goalers for the season, so a vet goalie, even if it's bob is still going to cost them 2-4 million minimum.

If they are going to get Brady, they have to trade players from their roster.
Tkachuk (8.2M) for Lundell, Mikkola, and 2026 1st (10M)

Or

Tkachuk (8.2M) for Luostarinen, Mikkola, 2026 1st, 2027 1st (8M)
Yep that will hurt their depth.
Yeah, I don't think I'd do the first option if I was Florida (Ottawa would probably prefer it tho), but I would do the second one. Lundell is very important for them. Mikkola is solid but replaceable with a deadline acquisition. Same with Luostarinen.

Also fwiw this is purely just me looking at their NHL roster to even up the cap. I'm not terribly familiar with Florida's prospect pool but I'm sure that would come into play.

I also agree, I don't see anyway Florida moves off of Lundell. From what I heard they view him as the future barkov. He's the guy that can apparently go up against anyone's 1C and shut them down and still produce. He's going to have to eventually make the jump, but I don't see them giving away one of their only really good young assets. But maybe he's overvalued on a great team?

Yea I don’t see that making them much better. Especially for Lundy. He’s criminally underrated. Lusto is too but not as valuable

Hmm, straight up? That wouldn't be enough I have to say I'm still not in favor the Sens have to send something more back do they have a good prospect center?
Kyrou/Neighbours for BT+
Ugh I hate this
Straight up…no. Blues have to add big time. I still think Florida will figure out a way to get it done though.
Doesn’t Florida have a lot of NTC guys on the roster? Who, of value, do they have (without a NTC) that would make a deal work besides the 8th overall pick?
That team is great, but I see no way they are able to make it work. I wonder if Brady would actually WANT to come here. Hometown kids coming home can be really hard on the player.

Some have talked about Dvorsky and Neighbors or Dvorsky Stenberg and a 1st round pick to get Brady K.

Any opinions?

Yeah we have to keep our Center depth so he's not going anywhere if another good C isn't involved.

Your 100% correct but right now where the franchise is the Blues arent a "BT" away from being a contender. Plus how much would it suck to trade a guy like Carbonneau or Jiricek now and find out later they were absolute studs for a decade?
Im willing to wager that these guys are Blues

Snuggerud
Carbonneau
Stenberg
Hofer
Fischer
Jiricek

I could certainly see Stenberg in a deal for a guy like Brady Tkachuk sure but id be very hesitant to trade anyone else on that list right now till the franchise knows what they have

I don't think we can even trade Stenberg for an unsigned BT to be honest.
