I watched I Like Me, the John Candy documentary. Nothing new or earth shattering, but it is definitely worth the watch. As a guy who grew up watching him, and consider Uncle Buck a masterpiece, it brought a tear to my eye. Gone way too soon.
I also watched episode one of The Chair Company and laughed a few times, but I am a Tim Robinson fan. I don't ever see him playing something straight, but I do agree some people will get tired of the same old schtick. Him and Nathan Fielder have cornered the market on that subset of comedy.
I watched I like Me and enjoyed it. The whole thing had a sad undertone to it knowing how early he was taken, even if self inflicted. It's incredible how many really rock solid movies he was in during his career. Well made documentary and worth the watch if you were a fan or are of that age.
Trying to get my way thru the current most recent season of Murders in the Building. I can't tell you how much I hate it. I'm trying to be nice to my wife and watch with her but I can't even pay attention any longer. When the show came out it was funny, original, well done etc. It's such hot garbage now. And from what I read it's going to keep going.
I believe follow up seasons to Landman and The Pitt are coming in the next 30-60ish days. Looking forward to both.
The first two seasons were stellar. Season 3 ended on a big surprise, as did the other seasons. But season 3 had a couple of weird gaps and some WTF scenes. In some characters’ relationships it seems like we missed explanatory scenes.
I did not like Kate’s abrupt change at the end.
The whole thing was odd I’m not up to the standards of the first two seasons. Have the ideas already?
We just watched the Netflix documentary Unknown Number: The High Scool Catfish. I fully recommend taking the 90 minutes to watch it. It is a real-life cyberbullying case that rocked the small community of Beal City, Michigan. In October 2020.

I binged season 3 The Diplomat.

Wife and I love The Diplomat and couldn’t agree with you more on season 3. Liked the season overall but yeah they made some weird choices about time jumps and relationships. The middle of the season was especially odd. Again, still can’t wait for season 4 but hope it returns to the standards of season 1 and 2.

And what the actual FK was that brief scene showing the PM plowing his wife? WHY???????????
How did that advance the plot or any character development? I feel like Phoebe on Friends shouting.”My Eyes! my Eyes!”

Haha. That scene was strange. I will say that I chuckled but I agree that it seemed to have absolutely nothing to do with the plot. And - no spoilers - but why did they choose that romantic subplot for Dennison after the time jump? That left me really disappointed too.
IMO, one of the best shows on TV. Casting was perfect, everyone plays their roles so well, and the show moves at a good pace. Of course, Harrison Ford is perfect in the show as well.

Yes very excited for this, agree that it's a top 5 show on TV currently... I'd argue top 3.
We have gotten into the British gameshow Taskmaster, which is available for free on youtube.
It seems cheesy at first because it's just a bunch of comedians being given ridiculous tasks to complete and then getting pretty arbitrarily graded, but there's hilarious banter throughout. We got into it because Jason Mantzoukas was on it last year and I find him pretty funny. Then we've been working our way through past seasons. Season 16 is pretty solid so far.
Pretty wholesome family fun (a bit raunchy but nothing terribly inappropriate for kids)... recommend
Fallout is great, highly recommend. It is okay if you never played the game, I never did but find the show really good. I have heard from friends who have played it that it is pretty true to the game and a good adaption.
I Love LA is good, and admittingly I am beyond smitten with Rachel Sennott (even though I cannot forgive her for being in The Idol, what a mess that show was).
Odessa A'zion is a smokeshow, but I love her mom, Pamela Adlon, who created and starred in (and pretty much did everything in) Better Things. That is a GREAT show if you have never checked it out. I think you can still watch it on FX/Hulu. She was also great in Californication, one of my favorite shows.
I am old so definitely not the demographic they are going for in I Love LA, but my biggest complaint is what's the point? It's stylish and the cast is pretty good, but I pretty much forget the episode as soon as it is over, if that makes sense?
'Industry' is a solid watch and season 4 starts next weekend on HBO. A group of young employees scheme, plot, backstab, sleep around, and ingest large quantities of mind-altering substances as they work for a London investment bank. Fills the void left by the ending of Succession. Plus, it stars Marisa Abela.
Now for a completely different type of show. I’m a huge fan of architecture, especially residential architecture. And I’ve always been interested in how people live in different cultures. Mrs. Bighorn and I have been watching the World’s Most Secret Homes on Netflix. Although the 3D renderings of the homes appear as if they don’t want to spend money on a professional software package, the tours of the homes are excellent. And the architecture is brilliant for many of them.
If you make it past the first house, a hut in Norway’s mountains without plumbing or a [shirt]er, you’ll find some stunning structures.
Going back a few years, but wife and I are working on season 2 of Your Honor with Bryan Cranston. It’s just ok, nothing spectacular. It’s only 2 seasons so we’re going to finish it but it definitely hasn’t blown us away.
ok, signed on w/ paramount sos I can watch the Yellowstone video universe. Just started 1922. I'm going in time order. Kind of picky about anachronistic & PC takes on history. These don't seem too bad, in that respect. Hoping for the best.
