Game was on the line late in the third and the top line went out there - and Kyrou wasn't on it. In fact, Kerber even commented about Stenberg having replaced Kyrou with the game tied late.
Seconds later, Schenn scored off of Snuggerud's rebound.
It's hard to trade an 8mill a year player, when he plays whenever he feels like it.
(BTW - more than happy to track down the moment in the broadcast when Kerber makes that statement.)

thing with Kyrou is, he looks best when he's NOT on the top line, having to face the other teams hardest matchups. been that way for awhile now. I'm starting to wonder if we're watching the next Mike Hoffman

Well, he's been up and down the lineup, and it seems there is always an excuse for him.moose-and-squirrel wrote: ↑03 Jan 2026 08:15 amalso found it interesting Stenberg was out to finish the game. but def was not expecting Kyrou to be out there.bud white wrote: ↑03 Jan 2026 07:59 am Game was on the line late in the third and the top line went out there - and Kyrou wasn't on it. Army's going to get flamed for whatever he does with Kyrou. But at this point, it is purely addition by subtraction. Monty wants his teams to play a certain way, and Kyrou just isn't buying in.

There will be teams willing to trade for Kyrou thinking they have a better lineup to support him.
The return probably won't be what the Blues are looking for but I still think they could get the equivalent of 2 late first round picks for him. If so I'd pull the trigger.

Christian was early 90’s way before Keenanblues2112 wrote: ↑02 Jan 2026 21:11 pmI defer to your memory!TheJackBurton wrote: ↑02 Jan 2026 20:13 pmAnderson was on the team but if I remember correctly Hawerchuk didn't even make it a full season. Signed that year as a UFA, then traded before the deadline.
And Dave Christian was in the mix at some point. Not a HOFer, but family made a line of sticks for a time.
