That’s my biggest issue with him. I honestly can’t remember when I saw him use his speed. It’s a huge asset yet he refuses to use it, which means he is either lazy or stupid.Harry York 37 wrote: ↑30 Dec 2025 16:44 pm
Thank you, Sir!
When was the last time anyone saw Kyrou actually use his "All-Star Game Fastest Skater" speed?
Almost makes you wonder if he still fricken has it....
By comparison, watch MacKinnon tonight. He uses his speed on EVERY, single shift. That’s why MacKinnon is great and why Kyrou isn’t.

Yea that’s very frustrating. And he’s trending less noticeable as he agesFrank Underwood wrote: ↑31 Dec 2025 07:20 amThat’s my biggest issue with him. Look at the goal Caufield scored last night. Why can’t Kyrou do that ever?

Because he has difficulty handling the puck, which is also a very important skill to protect the puck.MiamiLaw wrote: ↑31 Dec 2025 07:29 amYea that’s very frustrating. In the words of one of my all-time favorite people, Gus Kyle, "He's the world's greatest hockey player...from the neck down".

I think they will trade him to whoever gives the best package and he’s willing to go there. Not every team will be interested in trading for him.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑30 Dec 2025 20:41 pmwe aren't trading him to Colorado. There's absolutely no way he's traded in division. I'd say New York is a possibility, definitely not Pitt they have nothing of value to trade, Ottawa doesn't have much, and Edmonton we've beaten to death about their lack of trade fodder.Bluesfan1978 wrote: ↑30 Dec 2025 17:25 pm A team like Ott, Col, Edm and maybe even the Rangers would be good landing places where the captain wouldn’t except mediocre efforts from Kyrou. Maybe add Pittsburgh to that list.
If he's traded it has to be someone of equal value with term on his contract and there just aren't many of those other there.

I think the fan base has seen enough of Kyrou. Three coaches, including a SC winner and a Jack Adsams winner, have thrown up their hands.Bluesfan1978 wrote: ↑31 Dec 2025 10:21 amI think they will trade him to whoever gives the best package and he’s willing to go there. The outcry will not be as great as it would have been before his attitude became obvious to any fans who pay attention.
How many times can he keep getting a second, or third, or fourth chance?

Unfortunately, the entire league knows what Kyrou is. The Blues won't get anywhere close to what the experts on this board believe it to be. Army and Steen know what his value is across the league. Why do you think Montreal and Buffalo turned the Blues down when he was dangled in the Mailloux and Dobson deals? At this point, I think the Blues are just hoping that he figures it out. But I would have to think that his leash is getting shorter and shorter ... and another healthy scratch is looming.Bluesfan1978 wrote: ↑31 Dec 2025 10:21 amI think they will trade him to whoever gives the best package and he’s willing to go there. Re: Is Jordan Kyrou Done in St. Louis? 3 Teams Circling the Blues Star
Its so complex. How do you even trade a Kyrou or Buch?
They have a big say.
Hypothetical--If Kyrou would go to Ottawa---
How would that even work?
We eat salary and take back Zetterlund or Greig and their salaries.
What else would we get Logan Henseler and Zetterlund for Kyrou and a 3rd Rounder with us picking up salary?
Would they even do that? Do we need to throw in a draft pick?
Hes almost untradeable imo.
Buchnevich--guy isnt that good. He cant finish--who would want that?

He's still scored 25+ including 3 seasons of 30 goals 3 out of the last 4 years with 6 years left on a below market contract. Experts or not that kind of player isn't going to just return a prospect or pick. He will get value in return.bud white wrote: ↑31 Dec 2025 11:26 amUnfortunately, the entire league knows what Kyrou is. Honest question: If Kyrou has all of this game breaking talent ... why doesn't his talent take over a game when it counts? I don't recall witnessing a game where his speed and talent has made a difference for a full sixty minutes. A game where his speed backs off the D. A game where every shift finds him to be a scoring threat. Correct me if I'm wrong.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑31 Dec 2025 11:37 amHe's still scored 25+ including 3 seasons of 30 goals 3 out of the last 4 years with 6 years left on a below market contract. Re: Is Jordan Kyrou Done in St. Louis? 3 Teams Circling the Blues Star
It happens about 6 times per year. I think after the last time he was scratched he had a really strong game. Either way the team needs to move him and or Buch. Can’t have 16 million tied up in those two and not have them be counted on in most games.bud white wrote: ↑31 Dec 2025 12:16 pmHonest question: If Kyrou has all of this game breaking talent ... why doesn't his talent take over a game when it counts? No player is a scoring threat every shift … that’s not to take away your point. Kyrou is more of a game breaker when on, than a dominant player.bud white wrote: ↑31 Dec 2025 12:16 pmHonest question: If Kyrou has all of this game breaking talent ... why doesn't his talent take over a game when it counts? But Thomas is a ghost this year too. Something in the water
Re: Is Jordan Kyrou Done in St. Louis? 3 Teams Circling the Blues Star
First of all, that’s your opinion, not a fact. It’s an $8 mil cap hit, not the talent issue. Yes they’ll take a loss on return because the fan base and media have destroyed his reputation. It just doesn’t fit here. You’re also going to have issues going forward with skill players wanting to play here because of the “culture”.
