Yeah, and hopefully all that gets us to 4-4 in SEC this weekend w/o having beaten anyone with a winning record.
Most folks walk before they run.
In fact, every one.
For my money Drink is driving this in the right direction and his results pretty much show that save "the big game" which, if given the time, will come.
The guy is 42 years old and still in a learning curve...and coming out of it. Stay the course.
And disagreeing is fine but put up the names you want here please.
Been saying this all along.
The foundation and details and Drinkwitz ability to sell the program to supporters and players is in place.
This move to the SEC and sustaining success can't be done with a good season here and there. You can't grow a real top program that way.
The next step is obviously the hardest and that is closing the deal by not just playing with but beating the big boys.
I don't see how in this day and age a head coach, CEO of the program who must be on his phone constantly dealing with the NIL, recruiting and the portal can run the offense and defense at the same time.

Drink and his agent playing MU like a fiddle.
Yep. Hasn’t won anything and is currently the 10th highest paid HC, yet he thinks he is due more. Indiana HC gets in CFP, gets top 5 ranking, etc…. That guys is due a raise. Asking for a raise 1 year after you renegotiated your last contract and not achieving anything is just arrogance. I hope the buyout is low as the schedule Mizzou has the next 2 years will put Drink back on the hot seat. Having the easiest schedule in the SEC the last 2 years I guess is worth something.
Drink is being overpaid at this point in his career as again, he still finds ways to not be prepared for the biggest games. He couldn't do it as OC and the guy he hired is worse than he is and not worthy of coordinating or QB coaching in Power 4. Great job of rebooting program and building facilities for sure and a great interview BUT his stated goal is to win championships and can't even beat a ranked opponent just feasts on the second or third tier teams.
With new schedule and fixed opponents that's going to be harder now and thanks for the ten win almost good seasons, except for the beatdowns by Big Brands, so he tells you to be grateful for 7 or 8 win seasons. That is NOT what you want in a CEO/HC and a successful program. Being Same Old Mizzou is NOT the goal anymore.
So unless this meeting is to get a lot more NIL money and assistant money then it's a bust.
BTW LSU, FL and PSU are NOT targeting Drink as being mediocre is not what their Brands and fans demand. I'm sure AR would love to have him with local connection but don't have the money and resources he would need.
We shall see how it all plays out as the carosel is always crazy town.

Who says he's asking for a raise?
Can you report Drink asked for the meeting?
Even if he did, calling that arrogant is ridiculous.

Who/ What forced Drink to go to FL and interview? Who/ What forced Drink to whine and snivel about Corp advertising? Drink and his agent created this whirlwind, and it worked again

Contract finalization being reported by multiple sources now. I am glad Drink stays. Too much positive momentum over several years to give up now. We are not far away compared to 6 years ago. I sense some major donor news soon as well.
My question is why extend him again, and probably raise his pay and buyout into top 10 level again? Missouri is bidding against itself. I just don't get it. Nobody's going to poach a guy who can't win a big game.
His agent is a master at leaking other teams interest and making the Missouri curators nervous. As I posted before, the next 2 years will be Show Me seasons for Drink.

Forced? If he went I assume he traveled freely to talk about a job.
Whine and snivel? He or you? He speaking up for more support has my support these descriptive words you come up with are a joke..
You need to get a grip.... your bias is overwhelmingly tainted
I would hope it would occur to some of these posters that just maybe the BOC initiated this extension in light of their coach perhaps being approached by another program and not the coach demanding a meeting?
Just speculation on my part but seems a real possibility.
One would think or should that Drinkwitz might not be in the best position to demand anything on light of the recent conference losses.
A little common sense can go a long way but on these forums is not usually the case.
