Re: Un-Coachable
I’m not blaming coaches. I am not blaming player attitude or lack of effort. I’m blaming lack of ability and talent.

If we had a Bortuzzo to slap Kyrou silly when he coasts is practice, or backs off of plays which might result in a booboo... the team might soar.
He is a proven Coach-Killer. That kind of player is also a Dream-killer as you have to give it all when you aspire to a Cup, and coasters and gliders don't qualify.
I sometimes wish we would have waived him after he wore a tutu throughout the last and most meaningful game of last year. People who lack the insight to watch a hockey game in-depth will scream "He scored a goal in that game". He scored that goal by skating into the crease after all the hustling warriors had laid each other out.. and tapped it in to an open net, which is typical of how he scores without getting his uniform dirty.
He is not much better than Brandon Saad, who was scratched, scored a hat trick ... and went back to coasting and gliding until he was waived.
When he gets claimed and signed to a big contract by a team that is too desperate to fear his liabilities, or one that has enough COMPLETE players around him to make up for those liabilities, we will be a better team for it. Not immediately, as the 8 plus million in cap money is hard to spend in December. But the Blue Note will be worn more proudly after he is gone.
And I do not think we will be any worse off than we are on 11/18/2025.

Ok, Thomas and Kyrou were here, but far from the core of the team at that time, rookie call ups.HighStick wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025 11:18 amThomas, Kyrou, Schenn and Parayko.netboy65 wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025 06:20 amCmon. If you want to blame Schenn and Parayko be my guest but I thought everyone around here loved them?
Look, I’m not saying there aren’t problems now, there are, but to say it’s the same core since Yeo is disingenuous at best
Re: Un-Coachable
I'd like to believe that but how do we explain the 12 game win streak last season without Parayko? They might of got lucky a time or 2 but not 12 times. There's some talent on this team. People have been high on Thomas for years, Kyrous scored 30, Parayko can be a beast, Binny can turn it on. Holloway was flying last season, Broberg was having success and improving. It all just changed and fell apart this year. 8 months ago this team was one of the best in the league.
Re: Un-Coachable
Oh please. If Neighbours had scored that goal you and everyone else would be singing his praises, look! See? He drove to the net! Dirty goal! Yay! But since it’s Kyrou, it doesn’t count? Ok.Harry York 37 wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025 11:26 am

Your continuation of singling Kyrou out while virtually ignoring the flaws of everyone else on the team has reduced your credibility to zero.
Re: Un-Coachable
I just meant they are our core now and they've all been here as a core piece for years now. All those guys were rooks except Parayko and Schenn when Yeo/Berube were here. Binny was a desperate call up who didn't really deserve to be here. Parayko is my favorite Blue I'm not trying to blame him. I want Parayko to retire as a Blue. That doesn't mean I won't criticize his play though. Thomas, Kyrou, Schenn, Parayko and Binny have been our core since Petro left. Jbo went down, Petro, ROR and Maroon left. Those guys made up the leadership core of this team then but since then, Thomas is our #1 Center, Kyrou is our best goal scorer, Parayko has been our #1Dman since Petro left, Binnys been our #1 since the Cup. Schenns been our #2 Center since Thomas got pushed to #1. These guys are our core and have been for years now. And they've all been here since the Cup.netboy65 wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025 11:28 amOk, Thomas and Kyrou were here, but far from the core of the team at that time, rookie call ups.HighStick wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025 11:18 amThomas, Kyrou, Schenn and Parayko.netboy65 wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025 06:20 amCmon. You grow tiresome netboy. Your heart is in the right place, but you should consider deferring to your eyes and your brain a whole lot more. Your heart and typing fingers could really use a break, and what is typed would have more sand.netboy65 wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025 11:37 amOh please. Nothing the Goal-scorer did on that play was remotely "Dirty". After all the other four Blues skaters touched the puck, taking hits (Fowler took a good lick to get it into the neutral zone, Thomas took a harder one to get it into the O Zone, and Buch took a solid one to pass to Kyrou) and skating 200 feet to drive the net (Parayko). Kyrou coasted into the open slot as his mates had lured everyone else into the board battles and he made a good pass to Parayko whose driving play pulled both the defender and the goalie off their feet . Parayko slid a pass under the sliding defender which bounced off Kyrou's stick and Jordan poked it backhanded into the open net. The only contact Kyrou felt was when he tiptoed over the sprawling Dman and Goalie.
I imagine that scoring on the first shot of the game enabled Kyrou to rationalize his decision that he need not compete any further in that Game 7. He had done "enough".

Re: Un-Coachable
I didn't know where to put my thoughts on this but this is what I'm seeing that is puzzling.
When the Blues were on fire last year, the play was fast and the whole team played as one unit.
Most notably I remember was the way the defense didn't retrack. As soon as there was a turnover or a clearing out of the o-zone, they immediately turned around and went north to generate another scoring chance. Right now, I see the defense timid and slowing things down. And if the other team gets the puck, they cave in deep.
It's just an observation that I started to notice. Not sure if it's consistently happening or not.

Tiresome? That’s the pot calling the kettle black. I’ll leave you to it though, after all the next 5437 Kyrou bashing posts aren’t going to write themselves!Harry York 37 wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025 12:42 pmYou grow tiresome netboy. I only post here about two days a week.i only come out anti-Kyrou when the situation asks for it. Such as… a thread entitled “Uncoachable”. Jordan is the epitome of uncoachable. As I have said before, had he listened to Berube instead of blowing him off, he would still be making all star teams. and I would really, really like him.
But he didn’t and he doesnt and I have little reason to believe he ever will.
$8,125,000.000 guaranteed can do that to a weak mind with a fearful heart.
