Un-Coachable

Post by Tabasco Flowers »

Without naming players, I think a lot of our core players feel they're smarter than their coach.

The time of getting coaches fired should be over, NOW!

I hope you are correct. It's beyond frustrating.

Why were they coachable last year?

When you make four defensive lines and want Kyrou in a corner or battling along the boards or do the turtle with a half and hour left in the game. Yes the players may be smarter.

I'm thinking at least 15

I understand why folks are frustrated but this seems to be a grasping at straws attempt at an explanation to try to explain why the Blues have been so bad this season. I suppose it’s possible but I’ve seen no evidence any of the players would be considered uncoachable or think they know more than the coach.

Yeah other than Kyrou getting benched for a game this doesn't seem to really be the issue. The issue is generally poor play and at times brutal goaltending.

This same group with the same coach played phenomenal hockey down the stretch last year. Sometimes s____ happens and it's difficult to figure out why.

Montgomery was fired for inappropriate conduct.

The poor play has been manna from heaven for certain posters.

One needs to cipher the intent of more than half the threads that have been generated over the past month, thereby explaining the content.

Take this thread that literally excludes Monty from any responsibility for this seasons play. Now I like Monty, I support him and I think he's actually a great coach. But please, he has a role in this teams performance, whether it be good or bad and.... it's presently bad. If there's one guy that's going to turn this around, it's him.

Hate to say it but all this frustration reminds me of the fall of '18, when we all saw the inexplicable bad play from that Blues team and this place went nuclear.

I'm not saying Montgomery doesn't deserve any blame. He does. They all do. It's been a team-wide struggle. And it's valid to question the direction of the team from the GM as well.

It's night and day, frankly. That team eventually proved their worth, which we all know. This team at best is still probably borderline playoff caliber.

I did not make a comparison of the teams, but rather the threads and posts about that team at that time. And yeah, every one quickly and conveniently forgot about the things said about that team at the time once THAT SAME TEAM proved worthy

Now, that team that was trashed are all hero's....and stars.

I'm just reminding posters is all.
