They were all very coachable last year… when they [fork]ing felt like it.
Re: Un-Coachable
They just don't have their backs against the wall far enough yet! For the 3rd year in a row, I might add.Harry York 37 wrote: ↑17 Nov 2025 21:02 pmThey were all very coachable last year… when they [fork]ing felt like it.

1 playoff series win in 6-7 years.
Re: Un-Coachable
I'm shocked how many coaching changes these guys have gone through. From Yeo to Berube to Bannister to Monty. I think these multi million dollar players need to deliver and stop putting up halfazzed efforts night after night. As fans we have watched this happen more often than not over the last few years. This is an on ice leadership problem. The C and the A's aren't doing their job making sure the guys are fired up and ready to go to battle. They come out flat and sluggish a lot. This team needs a real alpha dog or 2. This team needs some chemistry. That has to come from inside.

Yep. Maybe bring up Lucic to beat up any floaters on the team in practiceHighStick wrote: ↑17 Nov 2025 21:47 pm I'm shocked how many coaching changes these guys have gone through. Re: Un-Coachable
Monty needs to figure this out. He has one job. It's a tough job but it's his.
Maybe try to keep a consistency on the lines for this upcoming road trip for a start.
Winning can be contagious. Let's hope the Blues catch it sooner than later.

Yes, it has been a rough go of it lately. Game 7 last year took the proverbial cake. If the great Jack Buck was still with us and doing hockey, it would have been one of those "I don't believe what I just saw"calls!theograce wrote: ↑17 Nov 2025 21:33 pm…to claw into the first round and then reveal the biggest choke in franchise history?zuck698 wrote: ↑17 Nov 2025 21:22 pmThey just don't have their backs against the wall far enough yet! Re: Un-Coachable
Cmon. Maybe one or two guys were here for both Yeo and Monty. Parayko and I think that’s about itHighStick wrote: ↑17 Nov 2025 21:47 pm I'm shocked how many coaching changes these guys have gone through. From Yeo to Berube to Bannister to Monty. Seems rare coaches — or players — to last long on one team.netboy65 wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025 06:20 amCmon. Maybe one or two guys were here for both Yeo and Monty. For my own edification, I looked up who has played for Yeo and Montgomery in the NHL: Binnington, Kyrou (16 GP), 55, Schenn, Sundqvist, The Thomas. Quite the turnover.
Re: Un-Coachable
I thought of some of those, but wasn’t sure Thomas was getting regular time and Kyrou was an injury call up I’m sure.blues2112 wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025 08:04 amSeems rare coaches — or players — to last long on one team.netboy65 wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025 06:20 amCmon. Binner surprises me, I didn’t think he came here until January
Re: Un-Coachable
The factors contributing to this bad start are in my opinion, terrible defensive coordination, less than stellar goaltending partially caused by this bad defense, injuries to Holloway Neighbors and Thomas, youth feeling their way Snuggerud, Dvorsky, Broberg, mailloux. Thoughts.
Re: Un-Coachable
Great catch!
Hi first games were after Yeo was fired. He played a combined 68 minutes over two games, giving up four goals on 25 shots. The "Gloria" tenure started with 3-0 win over Philadelphia on Jan. 7, 2019.
(He also played 12:47 after Elliott was pulled against Carolina on Jan. 14, 2016. Hitchcock was the coach!)
Re: Un-Coachable
I think it is because we had Ryan O'Reilly on our roster.
Re: Un-Coachable
I hope they are not un-coachable because that's exactly what they need. Monty has to clean up the play in the defensive zone. Too disconnected with guys just floating around. When things are tough you have to go back to basics and nothing is more basic than playing as a 5 man unit with structure in your D-Zone. Solve that and get good goaltending, and this team will start winning again.
