I’m to the point with Buch that he needs to pull a George Costanza and just do the opposite of everything he thinks he should do. It couldn’t possibly any worse.

Roughly translates to loud/rowdy or some equivalent. Buch is ANYTHING but rowdy on the ice. The announcers were praising his lack of offense and said he was an honest player whatever that is supposed to mean.zuck698 wrote: ↑08 Nov 2025 23:15 pm Pavel Buchnevich in Russian must mean where "Offense goes to die"! This guy is like a 'Cooler" at a black jack table. These announcers keep going on, and apparently Monty too, about he plays an honest game defensively! What? He can't even clear the zone again, just like shades of game 7. And he was never a great skater, but it is like he is skating in quicksand. I think Milan might skate faster!

Coach is one of those guys that when he is told by his boss that someone isn't liked. He feels a responsible to show them up, call them out as a problem.
Players see it.

Remember all the people here praising Armstrong for this signing
150+ million dollars on Buchnevich, Faulk and Krug. Step back and think about that. Who does that? Armstrong would have been canned in a normal organization
I’d laugh but I can’t

I was relieved it wasn’t worse. But Buch has gotten even worse tho so it kind of evened outtheograce wrote: ↑09 Nov 2025 10:52 amRemember all the people here praising Armstrong for this signing

It is hindsight Buch had put up big numbers in STL that led to an extension the Blues didn't randomly decide one day to pay him he was PPG. His play seems to have fallen off a lot. If Buch had just 4 more goals for instance this may be a .500 teamMiamiLaw wrote: ↑09 Nov 2025 11:12 amI was relieved it wasn’t worse. Whether you like the player or not Faulks deal has been good for STL

It disrupted the room of a cup team. It was a bad move. People were shaking their heads.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑09 Nov 2025 11:17 am Whether you like the player or not Faulks deal has been good for STL
It’s one of many head shakers

he kept getting minutes while being useless , and thomas kept feeding him.
he should of been dealt last season, when he had some value. and the play in OT, just pathetic.

The St Louis Buchneviches are more important than the St Louis Blues now. Monty is a one man gang trying to save Buch, and his mental well being comes before the St Louis Blues. This guy doesn’t miss a shift. Doesn’t miss any games. He’s the most important guy on the team, Monty is so obsessed with saving Buch that he is selling the rest of his team out. Buch should have been on waivers 3 weeks ago. That he is still getting the mins he is, with the guys he is is coaching malfeasance.

Is it me or does he not only look lost, but he "looks" lost.
Has he consistently put the puck on goal in say, forever?
Just pathetic.

I don't believe one player can sink a team but man this player really has repeatedly hurt the teams chances to get something done.2forDiving wrote: ↑14 Nov 2025 23:24 pm The St Louis Buchneviches are more important than the St Louis Blues now. My issue is play him on the 3rd line or in some kind of reduced role until he improves. Right now he is not a top line player and he’s killing Thomas. Late in the game Thomas gives him a pass into the slot near where Snuggerud had scored from earlier and Buch missed the whole goal. And his body language is atrocious. He sulks or gets upset every time he screws up. It’s on display for everyone to see. At some point it’s not a Buch problem it’s a Monty problem. And I don’t think it’s an effort issue, he’s just mentally fragile.dhsux wrote: ↑15 Nov 2025 08:22 amI don't believe one player can sink a team but man this player really has repeatedly hurt the teams chances to get something done.2forDiving wrote: ↑14 Nov 2025 23:24 pm The St Louis Buchneviches are more important than the St Louis Blues now. It's more than failing at what he used to be able to do he's making a lot of mistakes on the ice. I can't even call it snake bit either.
I agree with demoting him or sitting him. For Gods sake something.

Has to be an all-time franchise record for any 1st line player on the Blues.
