Of course you are comparing them. That’s exactly what you did.
It’s funny. Pietrangelo never looked like this defensively…ever. He was better defensively at 16 than mails is now lol

Serious is not a good word or description of conversation with the agenda guy. He literally has to twist words to suit his responses.
I remember Petro in 2009/10 ..... you are 100% accurate.
Every time people try with this clown it comes back the same way, so don't fret.
You make a lot of good points, but I see more than hope. I see potential.gpe13579 wrote: ↑06 Nov 2025 19:01 pm I see what the Blues hope 23 can be. He is about the only dman we have that physically removes people from in front of the net. Unfortunately, he usually then turns it over in his own zone.
I saw a couple of whacks after the play last night showing potential grit....which is sorely missed on this team.
I've also seen him just up in the play a few times showing some offensive awareness.
All that being said, right now is in an absolute mess and anybody saying pairing him with 75 is a bad idea...I completely agree with that.
There is hope but that is all it is right now.
He's on pace to be -100 in a full season (probably about -80 this season)....you want that?LGB73 wrote: ↑06 Nov 2025 19:54 pm I don't think it's much of a decision. I saw it posted several times that he's an AHL all-star with nothing left to prove at that level. We traded for him and now he needs to play to develop. Keep running him out there and coach him up. Wish we had a solid vet like Suter to pair him with but the fact is the team needs CP,Broberg, Fowler and Faulk to man the top 4 spots. Also need to play the 3rd pair to 15ish minutes a game to avoid burning out the top 4 so he should get plenty of development time.
He needs to go to the ahl. He’s getting smoked out there. Whether you think you he sucks or he has potential it’s not doing him any good to be in the nhl right now. He needs some time in the minors to figure things out and get some confidence and that’s the most generous way to read this situation.Mr.Snuggleupagus wrote: ↑06 Nov 2025 20:15 pmHe's on pace to be -100 in a full season (probably about -80 this season)....you want that?LGB73 wrote: ↑06 Nov 2025 19:54 pm I don't think it's much of a decision. I was thinking that earlier today. I haven’t watched Springfield at all this season but he looked better than Kessel in the preseason.Mr.Snuggleupagus wrote: ↑06 Nov 2025 21:51 pm Skinner deserves a 10 game trial, send Mailloux down for awhile.

Just because he’s proven himself in the AHL doesn’t mean going there won’t help him reset from this brutal start. I’m thinking 10 games sounds about right. At that point hopefully the goaltending stabilizes, which means the Blues as a team/coaching staff will be able to develop LM better. The Average Gatsby wrote: ↑06 Nov 2025 21:47 pmHe needs to go to the ahl.
