Montreal built a good team and will be in a better playoff spot then the team who gave that kid away.
Also gonna be watching the King's. Great young team with a 'teams captain, and great play calling. Which was half the reason, I enjoyed the Blues product.
Both moves were big missteps. They look like favors for future personal considerations, and a clear sign management has stayed way too long.
That said, I'll still watch blues hockey, and like everyone, I'll enjoy the hope Army built and sold to us. Fingers crossed we play a few home playoff games so I can get some more mediocracy in 26/27

Yep. The thought that the PD, or any newspaper for that matter, would employ and pay anyone to troll a message board makes absolutely no sense. We are not a large group. Are we really clicking on enough adds due to the increased traffic due to trolls* to justify the cost of paying someone to troll the boards? No!!seattleblue wrote: ↑29 Sep 2025 10:20 am if you look at the thread views ... then it's an incredibly low level conspiracy to get clicks in a business that is being torn apart by many other factors far more relevant to the bottom line than whether they can keep getting about 100 male sports fans to return and talk about sports. how many people do you really think are in this niche discussion group? It's a lot more like an embarrassing neighbor who's miserable and demands company in being miserable (I'm annoyed and I don't know how to get help or deal with that, so I can make you care about me and my annoyance if I annoy you the most).
It's strange to me that "damaged human being" has to be discarded in favor of a conspiracy. lots of humans are sour milk. some are dead branches. some of them here are. that's all
*this is an assumption. An equally viable assumption would be that the trolling actually leads to less views/clicks as it drives sensible people away OR that those 2 things offset each other and it’s essentially a wash. But regardless, it’d make absolutely no sense for a newspaper to pay someone to troll their own obscure sports forums.

Explain how he is more valuable than Neighbours who has a 27 and 22 goal season on his resume, is better defensively, plays a better all around game, and is only 1 year older.Cahokanut wrote: ↑29 Sep 2025 12:08 pm He should. Before I answer your question, please answer my serious questions that got smothered instantly by the Army love blankets.sneptsmoustache wrote: ↑29 Sep 2025 11:52 am Serious question for the OP: what do you think is a reasonable time frame for deciding definitively who "won" this trade, given the differences in NHL experience for two players, the longer timeline for development for defensemen, etc.? Will we know definitively after this season, in your opinion? Will we need to wait until Mailloux has 200 games of NHL experience as a defenseman? When will we definitively know?
1. I want both Bolduc and a young RHD. I've been waiting for years for young replacement to Petro. 5 years later, why did I have to give up Bolduc to get a raffle chance on a young RHD"?
2. If Mailloux ends up more like the next Perunovich than the next Petrangelo, who is the next beloved young prospect that I need to give up for the next raffle chance?
3. Is there any scenario where Army could be "wrong" for making this trade. For 95% of the BluesTalkers, the answer is NO. What say you?
To someone that wants a fair grade, I would say 2 years. However, this is BluesTalk. We have only cheerleaders, and those driven insane by Army, and there is no timing ever that would facilitate a good discussion. Since no timing will ever work, weekly must do.

Neighbours is a dime a dozen. The game he plays is played by many it can be played by Sunny. Who would have similar point totals with the amount of good mates and pp time neighbours get.
Sunny can't play a Bolduc game.

Re: Bolduc is impressing up North
Truly, virtually impossible to know whether you're serious. To the first boldface statement, Neighbours is eight in his draft class in career goals, 13th in points and games played. To the second, Neighbours has 56 goals in 211 career games, Sundqvist 62 in 493.Cahokanut wrote: ↑29 Sep 2025 12:49 pmThere's nothing about a opinion of mine you have or will find rational.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑29 Sep 2025 12:30 pmExplain how he is more valuable than Neighbours who has a 27 and 22 goal season on his resume, is better defensively, plays a better all around game, and is only 1 year older.Cahokanut wrote: ↑29 Sep 2025 12:08 pm He should. Finally — and I like the guy — Sundqvist is not durable, having played 70 or more games only twice in a season (71 and 74) by age 31, while Neighbours has accomplished the same (77 and 82) by age 23.

I only have the need for 1 username.
Anyone that has more than one is just a failure of a person IMO.
And anyone who gets banned but can't live without this place after being told to go away (Bomac) is an even bigger loser.
But I guess I'll just fall back on what my mother always says..."Son, you just can't fix stupid...so don't waste your time".

I seriously seriously doubt many, if any, will agree Neighbours is a dime a dozen player or that Sunny could do his job just as well. Not this version of Sunny and not even Sunny in his prime. Everyone in St. Louis seems to have moved on...you might want to do the same.
I wish Boldy good luck...but there was no way I was willing to pay Boldy 4-6 million dollars after this season to be a third line wing on this team.
Young right handed dman that can skate and shoot are rare and have become somewhat of a hockey unicorn.
If Boldy scores 40 this season....I could care less.

No matter what happens with Boldy this season, I guarantee you that I won't be posting about it on this forum.

I think it helps the group to understand the group is smaller than people think. There is a lot of testifying to each other about each other as if an audience of multitudes is being persuaded to adopt a viewpoint. If we understood it as the same relatively small group of people we'd let more stuff go instead of prosecution of griefs.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑29 Sep 2025 12:27 pmYep. It's way too early to tell the ending of the Bolduc/Mailloux story, but it's good to know the beginning of the story.
Bolduc was cherry-picked from the Blues roster in exchange for what most would label a dump from the Montreal roster.
My job is to hold Army accountable for his moves. It's not an easy job, but somebody has to do it.
