I remember telling my wife that season that I'd never seen anything like it, and to enjoy it because I never will again, a team that just goes out and wins, to the point that if they lose it's a surprise. Night after night. What a machine. If the Red Sox hadn't been on some kind of mssion from God we might have won the WS. I truly think that's the only team that could have beaten us, and we' have beaten them if they hadn't just come off a miracle comeback against the Yanks.

Didn't they also mess with the Cardinals hotel arrangements?

Putting them well outside Boston in a hotel that didn't have food service after 10 pm?

I remember watching Ortiz take BP in the 2013 WS. He was hitting the ball 50 ft farther than Holliday or anybody else that took BP that night.
