The best kind of hit is a home run.
It’s comical that neither the guy who has the most hits nor the guy who has the most “best kind of hits” are not in the Hall of Fame.
Put Pete in, explain the gambling on his plaque.
Overall 34-15
This will be the third straight panel to say no.

The sign is hung up in EVERY clubhouse. No betting on baseball or else you are gone.
Rose saw the sign everyday and made a conscious decision to ignore it and bet on the game.
Acknowledge the guy for being the hits leader (because someone got them)…but inducting him into the HOF? No way, no how.
Pete made that choice daily for himself.
I think I’m going to go rob a bank tonight. I know it’s illegal and I could go to jail if caught, but I’m going to do it anyway.
(Dumb logic). If I get caught, should I not have to suffer the KNOWN consequences of my actions?

This is an exercise in discipline. Just one word answer. Keep it simple silly.
Me- IN.
Never should have been out anyway.

Not entirely the same, nor were you saying it is,since Rose only risked an honorary appointment.
He's still the hit king. All records intact along with his place in baseball lore.
Still an all-time great. If we are ok with changing that criteria because of
his achievements, why have them.

Re: CT poll- Rose in/out
The updated tally is 43-21, 66 percent. We ran four panels which would simulate four years of voting. Panel one was unanimous 14-2. In
The other three panels did not get him in/ each panel. With results getting worse by the panel.
As for our exercise if he don’t get in first year, he might not get in.
