SS- Masyn Winn
3B- Nolan Arenado is also signed for 2026 and 2027. The Cardinals owe him $22M in 26 and $15M in 27 if they don't/can't trade him. They may find a taker. if not, he plays.
2B- All the candidates we talk about, Saggesse, Donovan, Wetherholt, Gorman. One will play second (Wetherholt), one may play third if Arenado leaves, and one may be traded for an area of greater need.
We won't see Gorman at first.

I politely stand corrected to you and AOF. That may get him a little closer to Saggese in the pecking order. The demeaning dementia jab wasn't necessary. That's why you are a societal mess whether you realize it or not. You always try to squirm your way into trying to be right. And thrive on demeaning others in the process. That has the makings of a societal mess. IMO.Shady wrote: ↑13 Apr 2025 19:14 pmMonsieur De Treville wrote: ↑13 Apr 2025 18:35 pmWetherholt is 22. Re: The future infield
Thanks Cranny. There are some good things going on for the Cards' future including the infield potential. Some good things for Bloom to work with.
Re: The future infield
Another thing for respectful CT posters. Could Crooks hit enough to get into the future 1B consideration? He may hit better than Gorman, overall. And have more power than Burleson, eventually. By the way, I feel the Cardinals see Burleson as a fairly reliable, insurance-type hitter vs RHP for the next few seasons. While they sort things out with some hitters with, possibly, more upside. Also, maybe he is a decent trade chip.

More like impolitely and intentional considering this conversation took place less than one week ago.
To which you received the following replies:
To which you responded:Monsieur De Treville wrote: ↑08 Apr 2025 14:25 pm A player's age in any given season is based upon how old they are on June 30th. Saggese turns 23 in two days and therefore, this is his age 23 season.
JJ turns 23 on September 10th, therefore this is his age 22 season.
And then Monsieur weighed back in:
And you've proven that to be an accurate prediction.Monsieur De Treville wrote: ↑08 Apr 2025 18:04 pm watch...within a day or two he'll be repeating the same nonsense.
So, save the "politely stand corrected" - this already occurred, so you either:
A - FORGOT THE CONVERSATION HAPPENED... which makes a dementia call potentially accurate, OR...
B - THIS IS INTENTIONAL

I will after you kindly and politely let us know whether you FORGOT this conversation that happened 5 days ago, or if you're doing this INTENTIONALLY, which isn't very polite.Shady wrote: ↑13 Apr 2025 20:59 pmGive a rest. I'm just kindly asking for an honest answer. Can you give it?

I enjoy reading posts from both of you when you talk about baseball, but you ruin every thread you're a part of when you do this.

Re: The future infield
Walker's improvement this year defensively in RF (+1) should kill off all the "1st base talk".
But that infield the OP listed is weak at the corners where you need power bats.
JJ is NOT a power bat if you station him at 3rd base, Gorman has the "potential" but we have to see it re-surface.
I prefer JJ at 2nd base where his bat could then be special.
C. Bloom will need to find a power bat at one (or even two) of the corners via the draft, trade or (unlikely given Dewitt's new found cheapness) free agency.
