The future infield
In trying to work all three really good 2B/3B young Cardinals players into the future infield equation. I came up with this possibility. Wetherholt 3B, Winn SS, Saggese 2B and Gorman 1B. Some seem to feel Walker is the future 1B. But he is looking better and better in RF. As I've said before, the future looks bright with these young infielders, Walker in RF, Scott in CF. The young catchers and the young starting pitchers coming along. Whatcha think?

Hey, why’d you bail on the other thread that you just said this? Maybe cause you got called out again for saying JJ and Saggese are the same age?
Why are you the way you are? Have you ever dug into that?

I do know that you again said JJ and Saggese are the same age after it was explained to you by many how birthdays work. So why are you doing it again?
I’ll tell you, because you’re a troll.

calling you out for being a disingenuous liar is not a personal attack. It’s just the truth.

Does it ring a bell? It should for you and your ilk.
By the way, thanks for trying to hijack this thread. Mr Self Righteous.
This is a timely thread for respectful CT posters regarding the future of the Cardinals.

Re: The future infield
An hour ago you started a spam “future rotation” thread.
Now you’ve started a spam “future infield” thread.
So when should we expect your spam “future outfield” thread? About an hour from now?

Re: The future infield
1B- Willson Contreras is signed for 2026, 2027, and club option for 2028. He will be the first baseman through at least 2027.
SS- Masyn Winn
3B- Nolan Arenado is also signed for 2026 and 2027. The Cardinals owe him $22M in 26 and $15M in 27 if they don't/can't trade him. They may find a taker. if not, he plays.
2B- All the candidates we talk about, Saggesse, Donovan, Wetherholt, Gorman. One will play second (Wetherholt), one may play third if Arenado leaves, and one may be traded for an area of greater need.
We won't see Gorman at first.

Re: The future infield
DH is also an option to fit Gorman in. In order to fit these two very talented 23 year-old hitters into the lineup. This looks like the way to go. Wetherholt is 22. I carefully and politely explained that to you a few days ago. Is your dementia really that bad?Shady wrote: ↑13 Apr 2025 18:21 pmDH is also an option to fit Gorman in. Whether you like the poster who started this thread or not, it a good thread to start. The infield going forward will be interesting. A good topic for conversation.

Why do you continue to say that JJ and Saggese are both 23? Honest and sincere question.Shady wrote: ↑13 Apr 2025 18:21 pmDH is also an option to fit Gorman in. I look forward to what is unlikely to be an honest answer. Surprise me.
