Including the drops, FP has sdaltons getting 24 VORP (Jones, Kim, Paxton, MacArthur) and losing 37 VORP (Albies, Pivetta, Sears, Florio).
He’s getting a closer - one you touted as having more job security than Kirby Yates.
He’s getting Jones AND Paxton, who has a secure spot in the Dodgers rotation.
He’s getting Ha-Seong Kim, who you laughably tried to ROB from me for Gurriel… and currently ranks higher than half your (drat) roster.
Any more sour grapes you’d like to spread around, Matt?
How many trade proposals have you made with him this month?

I didn’t really think Austin was a lost cause. He’s been one of my favorite players over the years, and I’d never seen him suck so much for so long. It appears he’s come aliveCool Papa Con wrote: ↑22 Jun 2024 14:58 pmNot my fault you hate the name “Riley” and thought Austin Riley was a lost cause. I'm going to do the mid-point of the season merger of results to date with power ranking predictions for ROS when I have time on Saturday. An Old Friend wrote: ↑25 Jun 2024 10:44 amHolding strong for the time being. JD Martinez since the trade:mattmitchl44 wrote: ↑07 Jun 2024 05:11 amHe's making your roster A LOT stronger, IMO.Quincy Varnish wrote: ↑07 Jun 2024 05:06 amHe’s making my roster stronger, but not how I originally wanted. That's why I don't really understand the logic a lot. I can see why he would value Yates a bit more than McArthur, but dumping a little excess value to me (who is not a threat right now) would seem to make more sense that dumping excess value to you to pick up SVs.
Honestly, the Cortez/Greene for Yates/Martinez deal is SO lop-sided in your favor, if you were making it with one of the teams at the bottom of the league, I'd be vetoing it. Maybe I should be vetoing it anyway.![]()
.357 AVG
1.209 OPS
4 HR
14 RBI
Greene has also been crushing to be fair.
Yates 3 saves since the trade.
Doesn’t feel so lopsided yet.

The waiting period on trades has been changed to 2 days. Meant to do this yesterday, but life happened.

IMO - I just thought you could have gotten more for a SP of Cortes' caliber than Yates, if we even viewed Martinez-Greene as a wash.

Cortes is what, a top 35-40 SP and Yates is top 5-8 closer? JMHO but I think Martinez will ultimately hit more than Greene from the time of the trade through end of season. It'll be interesting to watch.
Regardless, it seemed you considered it a deal heavily in Quincy's favor, and thus far, while early, it isn't playing out like that.

Yesterday’s waivers are still being processed. I’d suggest trying again in a few hours. It’s usually done at around 3 AM, but is delayed this morning.Cool Papa Con wrote: ↑27 Jun 2024 05:07 am I was attempting to add a player off Free Agency, but the option is completely grayed out. FP just puts a lot more value on good SPs than good RPs, because SPs are going to contribute more innings and therefore more to all the categories other than SVs. In an absolute sense (not taking into account specific roster construction), it would still say that Cortes (11 VORP) is about twice as valuable as Yates (6 VORP).

Might not be picked up… there’s a small blackout period, usually between 2-3 AM, where you can’t pick up any players that would be processed the next day. For some reason that period is extending into this morning. Never seen it take this long. The standings also have not been updated.Cool Papa Con wrote: ↑27 Jun 2024 06:34 amOk, cool.
