Including the drops, FP has sdaltons getting 24 VORP (Jones, Kim, Paxton, MacArthur) and losing 37 VORP (Albies, Pivetta, Sears, Florio).

He's making you considerably stronger with both Greene and Cortez, which seems counterproductive since you are a much bigger threat to him than I am (at least at the moment).

He’s making my roster stronger, but not how I originally wanted. Plus, giving him saves at all was not a particularly bright move for anyone with legitimate hopes of winning this league.

He's making your roster A LOT stronger, IMO.

That's why I don't really understand the logic a lot. I can see why he would value Yates a bit more than McArthur, but dumping a little excess value to me (who is not a threat right now) would seem to make more sense that dumping excess value to you to pick up SVs.

Honestly, the Cortez/Greene for Yates/Martinez deal is SO lop-sided in your favor, if you were making it with one of the teams at the bottom of the league, I'd be vetoing it. Maybe I should be vetoing it anyway.

Cortes is what, a top 35-40 SP and Yates is top 5-8 closer? AND I was trading from surplus for need.

JMHO but I think Martinez will ultimately hit more than Greene from the time of the trade through end of season. It'll be interesting to watch.

Regardless, it seemed you considered it a deal heavily in Quincy's favor, and thus far, while early, it isn't playing out like that.

You were clearly trading from a surplus of SP.

FP just puts a lot more value on good SPs than good RPs, because SPs are going to contribute more innings and therefore more to all the categories other than SVs. In an absolute sense (not taking into account specific roster construction), it would still say that Cortes (11 VORP) is about twice as valuable as Yates (6 VORP).

Might not be picked up… there’s a small blackout period, usually between 2-3 AM, where you can’t pick up any players that would be processed the next day. For some reason that period is extending into this morning. Never seen it take this long. The standings also have not been updated.
