I bet that the Wild were wishing they had had Thomas. Center was a clear hole with Ek out.
I'm curious who they will try to bring in to get them over the hump.
If Army was serious about trading Thomas, the Wild would likely be desperate buyers.

The Wild dont have the high end C or D prospect for a trade to be based around, orhigh enough draft pick.

Only an invalid would suggest trading your best player within the division.

Quite a bit to be a better team than Colorado IMO, I'm surprised people are surprised about how that series went.

Lol we aren't trading Thomas and we definitely aren't trading Thomas to Minnesota.
This is not difficult to understand.

Minneosta needs a real #1C. Eriksson Ek won't cut it. Similar to how the Blues were held back by Backes as their #1C in the Hitch era. Fine player, not a #1C. They'll probably be after Pettersson for better or worse.

I honestly don't know why this is so hard for people to fathom ...
If you trade Robert Thomas, you will spend the next 5 years (at least) looking for "a Robert Thomas type player."
It's like I'm taking crazy pills!

They could use a 2C like Thomas for sure. They could probably use a 2LW as well. Outside of Boldy and Hartman that second line is weak.
Like us, they’re weak down the middle and someone to consistently feed Boldy would be nice.

I dont think he wanted to trade him, but i do feel he wanted to see what thomas reaction to having his name out there, would be. and we saw it, he stepped up big time, while healthy.
but to be fair, teams who werent in on him, would be willing to pay a kings ransom for him in off season. He is one of top trade candidates, if he is actually a trade possible chip
i do not want him moved, unless you get his replacement whos younger, a top center prospect, and a young dman whos nearinf reADY, AND A PICK. Blues do not have to deal him, so unless some one sells their future to you, you do not even bat an eye at the [shirt] offers.

He stepped up big in garbage time against teams resting their best players.AtillaTheBlue1 wrote: ↑14 May 2026 16:06 pm I dont think he wanted to trade him, but i do feel he wanted to see what thomas reaction to having his name out there, would be. and we saw it, he stepped up big time, while healthy.

Have you made Army aware that his ideas are crazy?

Having Brodin and Ek out hurt their team game. They handled Dallas much better than I thought. And that shell they went into last night was very Monty like. They were good enough to take a juggernaut like the Avs to 5 and what should have been 6 games. They aren’t far away.

He's been a PPG player for 3 straight seasons. So three seasons of playing against teams resting their players? This was a bit of down year for him clearly but he still produced. For as good a passer as he is his assists were way down, but that's reflective of spending a lot of time with a rookie figuring it out and Buch/Kyrou not being able to score.Rollin' on the River wrote: ↑14 May 2026 16:21 pmHe stepped up big in garbage time against teams resting their best players.AtillaTheBlue1 wrote: ↑14 May 2026 16:06 pm I dont think he wanted to trade him, but i do feel he wanted to see what thomas reaction to having his name out there, would be. and we saw it, he stepped up big time, while healthy.

They needed to deal for a guy like Trocheck at the deadline. I guess the Rangers were asking for the world (Drury overplayed his hand) but that’s the deal that made all the sense in the world. They probably still lose to the Avs, but that’s the deal they needed right there.

I agree, but there were rumors earlier involving Walstedt. Maybe it was all fluff, but the rumor was persistent.SameOldBlues wrote: ↑14 May 2026 13:35 pm The Wild dont have the high end C or D prospect for a trade to be based around, orhigh enough draft pick.
