Minneosta needs a real #1C. Eriksson Ek won't cut it. Similar to how the Blues were held back by Backes as their #1C in the Hitch era. Fine player, not a #1C. They'll probably be after Pettersson for better or worse.

They could use a 2C like Thomas for sure. They could probably use a 2LW as well. Outside of Boldy and Hartman that second line is weak.

Having Brodin and Ek out hurt their team game. They handled Dallas much better than I thought. And that shell they went into last night was very Monty like. They were good enough to take a juggernaut like the Avs to 5 and what should have been 6 games. They aren’t far away.

He's been a PPG player for 3 straight seasons. So three seasons of playing against teams resting their players? This was a bit of down year for him clearly but he still produced. For as good a passer as he is his assists were way down, but that's reflective of spending a lot of time with a rookie figuring it out and Buch/Kyrou not being able to score.
