Correct. Why do so many want to trade guys at their lowest possible value? We’re not going to get anything at all for him right now anyway. If by some small miracle he gets healthy and plays up to his supposed potential, he becomes more exponentially more valuable in several ways. You can always give him away a little later down the road if he doesn’t recover some value.

I completely get that as I’m pretty tired of him too, and if we were on the verge of real contention, I’d say ship him out because it could risk a potentially good season. Seeing that is not the case at the moment, I think we can afford to wait until the next trade deadline and see if he surprises. Not like we have a Wetherholt-level OF prospect banging on the door right now.
