Vandy is not that good
Mizzou wasn’t beaten, they did everything they could to give the game away and Vandy didn’t capitalize until 2 min left in the game.
Penalties, a ruffing the passer, a tripping penalty when we were at the 1 yd line, bad play calling, a fumbled hand off, going for the TD rather than a field goal, a missed field goal. We out gained them by over 100 yds. Without the 80;yd run they had less than 200 yds total offense. I would love to see Mizzou actually get pasted one time rather than always giving the game away that they should win.

we play A&M in 2 weeks ... remember last year?
Re: Vandy is not that good
If you take away the 80yd run, the Zollers handoff issue, the missed FG, and not being able to score from 2yds away on 3 tries, then Mizzou wins easily.
The problem is those things all happened and to be a good team you can’t have those mistakes (and the 5 personal fouls - 3 on defense). While Vandy is not very good, the harsh truth is Mizzou is a notch below them when you consider all things like special teams, coaching, team discipline, etc…

Except for the toe-tip catch on a long ball, Pavia looked mediocre by Heisman standards. But he's a ESPN/ Disney media darling so anything can happen.Kelledr wrote: ↑25 Oct 2025 18:41 pm Mizzou wasn’t beaten, they did everything they could to give the game away and Vandy didn’t capitalize until 2 min left in the game.

He was nothing more than ordinary today. Re: Vandy is not that good
How was a turnover at mid field more important than not scoring on 3 tried from the 2? Of Burks taking a bad angle and giving up an 80yd TD? Or Kitchen with a dumb roughing the passer call on 3rd down that extended the drive the scored that they TD on? Etc….2forDiving wrote: ↑25 Oct 2025 18:49 pmHe was nothing more than ordinary today. The mistakes were plentiful, and all were responsible for the loss not the one handoff.

Either is Mizzou if you haven't noticed.
Vandy took advantage of mistakes and Mizzou didn't.

I was referring to Pavia. He got a chance to win the game late because of a botched handoff. I’m not saying there weren’t other reasons they lost. He got the chance because of the hand off.rezero wrote: ↑25 Oct 2025 18:55 pmHow was a turnover at mid field more important than not scoring on 3 tried from the 2? So Mizzou to score just 10 points vs. Vandy. That game should have been won.Kelledr wrote: ↑25 Oct 2025 18:41 pm Mizzou wasn’t beaten, they did everything they could to give the game away and Vandy didn’t capitalize until 2 min left in the game.

I kind of think they’re a little over rated too. We’re better, we just played terrible. The offense with Pribula at QB was becoming ineffective. Hate that he was hurt, but it looks way better with Zollers back there. I don’t think we’ll be worse off going forward. He appears MUCH more confident in the pocket and can throw it a lot better. But he’s just a freshman so we need to wait and see.
Re: Vandy is not that good
Win or lose next week, I don't think anyone will be complaining that the Aggies aren't that good a team.

Re: Vandy is not that good
I see the same old, same old Tigers at work. They don't seem to be able to get to the next level. Two losses that were very winnable games this year if you don't make so many key mistakes(penalties/turnovers) in crucial moments in a game. I'm willing to cut Pribula some slack with this being his first season as a starter but he needs to be better when it matters most. Drinkwitz is just too conservative at times when he could put the team in a much better position to win. His clock management is also a real head scratcher. Just my opinion watching the Tigers last 30 years. 10 win seasons are nice but a national title is the goal right?
