The chances Marmol is giving Saggese is similar to the chances he finally gave Burleson earlier in Burly's career. He must see something he likes about him. Both Burleson, then, and Saggese, now, got some opportunities due to injuries to others. If Marmol is back and Arenado is not. I could see Saggese in the starting infield in addition to Wetherholt.

Thx duce

And if Saggesse is our starting 3rd baseman in 2026, then we're doomed again. ::crazya::

I'm seeing Wetherholt starting at 3B and Saggese starting at 2B. It wouldn't surprise me if Donovan is traded for starting pitching help.

Might be their only option to acquire a needed starter.

Donovan and St. Alec. Time to pursue higher upsides.

Just some future Heads Up

I won't be around tomorrow (Sunday) to start your GDT. Sorry.

Also, starting this Monday through the end of the season, I will not be able to start GDT's for Day games during the week. If we have a day game, then someone else start the GDT. Normal Fall duties kick in.

----------

And, I think this will likely be my last season starting GDT's. My wife and I will be traveling quite a bit next Late Winter into Early Summer.

I hope I did ScottsRolen proud, as well as the rest of you.

Forever a Cards Fan,

You're correct in that when JJ comes up, he'll start
after that it's all intertwined. Assuming your guess to be correct with Donovan,
then Saggese/Gorman could platoon.

You did and then some. Thank you. If I'm available tomorrow I can fill in. I hope all your kids' weddings are as festive as Connie Corleone's.

Maybe,
Donny IMO has greater appeal to contend now teams. They're less
likely to ditch pitch but it does happen. India got Singer.

AB, Noot Plus, Herrera Plus. could also work.

I think Noot is on the trade block as well. Maybe Burleson. I think they hang on to Herrera.

Saggesse as an everyday player isn't a good move, he'd get exposed real quickly.

But Donny could indeed be dealt, along w/Burleson and/or Noot and a catcher or two.

Was about to post the same. There's an article on homepage of stltoday "Cardinals prospect JJ Wetherholt 'pretty confident' in his defense as he adjusts to third." I'm assuming it's behind the stltoday paywall so haven't read it but the title pretty much speaks for itself.

They clearly have 0 faith in Gorman's ability to be a future 3rd baseman.

CT refuses to see selling Hurdy Gurdy. Still believes in Just Worthless and the KKorn...well, truly only one (bleep) that says, it's never about him, believes there's nothing like him
