Is there a trade opponent that makes sense

Post by Zizzle1297 »

I see like Seattle make

Ryker Evans, Kakko Kappo, and either Beiners or Wright

for

Kryou and Faulk

You missed your window to trade Kyrou. He would need approve a trade to Seattle now. Also, if the blues were to make a major trade it would make more sense to deal a package built around Kyrou for a true upgrade rather than Kyrou for a group of players.

Why trade an elite player who is one of the top 30 scorers players in the league for a bunch of 2nd to 3rd liner types? We have a full stable of those type players.

In that proposed trade the major return would be either Matty Beniers or Shane Wright, two emerging young centers. It was my favorite idea after Dobson but I agree that the NTC kicking in ended it. Also Seattle shouldn't trade their young centers, they need at least two players to emerge from those two plus Jake O Brien who will take a couple years to put on NHL weight. A deal where Kyrou and Wright were the two best players in the deal would have probably made me happy.

Fine, we'll also take Wright back in the deal.

I'm not sure why people want to trade Kyrou. He's our top goal scorer and in his prime. Playing on the 2nd line. I know his defensive game could use some improvement but you can't overlook his ability to put the puck in the net. Every team has dudes who can score and dudes who can't. If Kyrou goes..... 30+ goals needs to come back because we can count on 30 from Kyrou. The D should be fine for now with the addition of Mailloux and I see no reason to trade Kyrou unless there's an even return coming back.

Elite players and elite offensive skill are not the same.

Do you truly consider him to be a truly elite hockey player? I don’t…and I like him.

A package around Dvorsky for McTavish. No idea how either players upside compares.

With a spot open on the wing, I say we bring back Perron to fill in the French-Canadien gap as well!

If we don't feel like one of our prospects are ready to step into a 3rd line wing spot- I think that will happen- we could look to pittsburgh and Ricard Rackell. 5 mil cap hit...great scoring touch.
