Nootbaar for Chris Sale
Who says no?
Re: Nootbaar for Chris Sale
If Sale is owed five cents, this ownership wouldn’t do it.
Re: Nootbaar for Chris Sale
Sale is a heck of a pitcher but will turn 37 next March.
Plus he has not exactly been the picture of health.
I’d deal Noot in a package for someone younger.

Re: Nootbaar for Chris Sale
Would you trade Sonny Gray for Chris Sale? It's probably the only team Sonny would approve a trade to, and the only way our ownership would take on Sale's contract.
Re: Nootbaar for Chris Sale
Not sure either but Sale doesn’t really fit the time line for the team.stlcardinals wrote: ↑13 Jun 2025 20:20 pmUnderstandable. Just not sure how much value Nootbaar has.
I could see him rounding out a package.
Re: Nootbaar for Chris Sale
If the team was in a good place for a WS run yes absolutely. But they aren’t so I wouldn’t see the point

Re: Nootbaar for Chris Sale
Why would a team going through a "reboot" spend one of their trade chips on a 37 year old pitcher?

Like I said in another thread:
