If Sale is owed five cents, this ownership wouldn’t do it.

Sale is a heck of a pitcher but will turn 37 next March.
Plus he has not exactly been the picture of health.
I’d deal Noot in a package for someone younger.

Would you trade Sonny Gray for Chris Sale? It's probably the only team Sonny would approve a trade to, and the only way our ownership would take on Sale's contract.

Not sure either but Sale doesn’t really fit the time line for the team.
I could see him rounding out a package.

If the team was in a good place for a WS run yes absolutely. But they aren’t so I wouldn’t see the point
