You confuse me. It was said Monday night they couldn’t hit. Now one day later we are on fire.Monsieur De Treville wrote: ↑01 May 2025 09:52 am Looks like rain today in Natti. Let's hope we get this one in while the bats are hot!

Not sure what's so confusing. Baseball is a marathon. Bats got hot yesterday. I'm hoping they stay hot. But it's certainly not guaranteed.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑01 May 2025 09:55 amYou confuse me. Speaking for myself, offensively I'd like to see more consistency. Cards have made a habit this season of scoring a bunch of runs in 2 or 3 straight games and then having trouble scratching out a run or two for 2 or 3 games. Part of the reason they are under .500 I suppose.
But yeah...bats were hot yesterday, surprised you didn't notice. Sorry you were confused.

This team has 3rd highest batting average in MLB .sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑01 May 2025 09:55 amYou confuse me. It was said Monday night they couldn’t hit. If weather.com is accurate, should only be a short delay around the 3rd or 4th inning, if there's a delay at all.Monsieur De Treville wrote: ↑01 May 2025 09:52 am Looks like rain today in Natti. Let's hope we get this one in while the bats are hot!

No the GDT Monday painted gloom and doom. Then we smoke them.
Here’s my thought. We got a staff that gives you 6 plus generally. An offense that can score 3-4 daily. A defense second to none most days.
What’s the issue in that scenerio. 7-8 innings. We solve that six out stretch, we will have a nice season.
Again sorry for the snark.

Ha. Yea I think I was initially attempting sarcasm and came off rough. I’d just gotten up basically, so I did not have my CT face on- ha.Absolut wrote: ↑01 May 2025 10:57 amStop being nice. Interesting that the Cards scored 14 of their 15 runs yesterday in a 4 inning window. 5 runs in the last inning of game one vs 1 pitcher. 9 runs in the first 3 innings vs 1 pitcher. They scored only 1 run in the first 8 innings of game one and had only one hit in game 2 the last 6 innings.
