The streak is remarkable, actually 14-2-2 counting the win before the break. Digging into the numbers makes it more astounding. Watching it unfold has been exhilarating and inspiring. Watching the troll narratives melt has been frosting on the cake. Following the development of the young players is becoming a fan rebirth experience. These guys have talent and they clearly are willing to work and lay it on the line to win. The vets have been supportive [or gone], seizing the moments to step up. The goaltending is good, the coach is good, and the GM has been pressing a lot of the right buttons and exercising restraint to place the onus of performance in the locker room. I mean, this is good, this is compelling hockey.

The way I understood it, Anaheim was going nowhere and they had young defensemen they wanted playing big minutes and he was blocking them. I thought that I heard that Fowler was supposed to be the guy we traded for when Krug said no and then went and had surgery. That would actually make sense if he knew he was going to have surgery and not play to collect your checks in MO rather than CA.

Fowler's ppg is .64. He's never scored at that pace before. Also, he's 13+, which is his second best +/- ever. He's been a great value and we got him for next to nothing. We don't have dman that are NHL ready, so we need to keep him.

The correct answer is that all of the St.Louis area broadcasters forced Army to make this deal. The guy we gave up for Fowler, his name is Biakabutuka.........JK/Rivers/Kerber/Vitale all demanded it, didn't want to deal with pronouncing that name
