Check out these numbers!!
Robert Thomas has back-to-back games with three or more points and eight points overall (two goals, six assists) in his last three outings. The forward has been held off the scoresheet only three times in 17 games since the break, totaling 23 points in that span. His 28 points since Feb. 2 shares first in the NHL with Nathan MacKinnon, while his 21 assists lead the League in that span.
Forward Radek Faksa is expected to dress in his 700th career game.
The Blues' seven-game win streak is their longest of the season and longest active win streak in the NHL.
St. Louis is 13-2-2 since the break. Their 13 wins and 28 points since Feb. 22 are each the most in the NHL.
Defensemen Justin Faulk and Cam Fowler each have 13 points since Feb. 22, which shares fourth among all defensemen in the NHL in that stretch.

Re: Check out these numbers!!
I felt like the reception for Fowler was kind of lukewarm. I was pretty excited about the trade personally but he has still far exceeded my expectations. He has completely stabilized the defense, to such an extent that even with 55 out, the back end just keeps humming along. Yes, all the dmen are holding up their end of the bargain but I think Fowler has been the calming influence.

The guy was a team leader in Anaheim, I don't get why people are surprised. I'm surprised they let him go - it must be they felt they owed him a fresh chance and wanted some cap space. Another huge get by DA. The inside story of that transaction would be very interesting to know.Backesdraft wrote: ↑27 Mar 2025 12:10 pm I felt like the reception for Fowler was kind of lukewarm. Agree. It made no sense to me why they let a skilled defenseman get away but I am glad they did.MikoTython wrote: ↑27 Mar 2025 12:29 pmThe guy was a team leader in Anaheim, I don't get why people are surprised. The streak is remarkable, actually 14-2-2 counting the win before the break. Digging into the numbers makes it more astounding. Watching it unfold has been exhilarating and inspiring. Watching the troll narratives melt has been frosting on the cake. Following the development of the young players is becoming a fan rebirth experience. These guys have talent and they clearly are willing to work and lay it on the line to win. The vets have been supportive [or gone], seizing the moments to step up. The goaltending is good, the coach is good, and the GM has been pressing a lot of the right buttons and exercising restraint to place the onus of performance in the locker room. I mean, this is good, this is compelling hockey.

Thanks Spyro Gyra. Definitely a feel good post.
Re: Check out these numbers!!
The way I understood it, Anaheim was going nowhere and they had young defensemen they wanted playing big minutes and he was blocking them. I thought that I heard that Fowler was supposed to be the guy we traded for when Krug said no and then went and had surgery. That would actually make sense if he knew he was going to have surgery and not play to collect your checks in MO rather than CA.Aesa wrote: ↑27 Mar 2025 12:36 pmAgree. Yea, that would have its tax disadvantages or in Fowler's case, advantages.TAFKAP wrote: ↑27 Mar 2025 14:53 pmThe way I understood it, Anaheim was going nowhere and they had young defensemen they wanted playing big minutes and he was blocking them. Re: Check out these numbers!!
Fowler's ppg is .64. He's never scored at that pace before. Also, he's 13+, which is his second best +/- ever. He's been a great value and we got him for next to nothing. We don't have dman that are NHL ready, so we need to keep him.Backesdraft wrote: ↑27 Mar 2025 12:10 pm I felt like the reception for Fowler was kind of lukewarm. Re: Check out these numbers!!
The correct answer is that all of the St.Louis area broadcasters forced Army to make this deal. The guy we gave up for Fowler, his name is Biakabutuka.........JK/Rivers/Kerber/Vitale all demanded it, didn't want to deal with pronouncing that nameAesa wrote: ↑27 Mar 2025 15:05 pmYea, that would have its tax disadvantages or in Fowler's case, advantages.TAFKAP wrote: ↑27 Mar 2025 14:53 pmThe way I understood it, Anaheim was going nowhere and they had young defensemen they wanted playing big minutes and he was blocking them. I know you are just kidding around, but his name is easy to pronounce. Do you remember his uncle was a stub running back for Michigan a few years ago? His name was constantly in the media
