Blues Dave wrote: 10 May 2026 04:39 am This is a bit off topic, but there's a reason. I went to my profile to get a posters user name i used to talk to, and most all my information is gone. And it says I joined in 2024 and I'm positive I joined in 2011. I've noticed the number of post is off also but It's OK though, no big deal. Whoever takes care of all that stuff has a lot to do. Anyway I swapped books to read with the poster I was looking for, I believe he was from St.Louis City. I live out in the country and we used to joke aroung with each other about that. Maybe he'll see this and speak up.
I think what happens is, every few years the Post Dispatch swaps out whatever back end platform they're using to host the forums. Each time it happens, it seems to wipe out everyone's user history, but you can still log in under your username etc. I suspect one of those changeouts happened in 2024, which is why your "joined on" date reflects it.

Beatoni! Yeah, He was a great poster. The nostalgia in this thread is indeed pretty high.

I wonder where a lot of these folks are? I know a couple of them have passed on to the great Blues Talk forum in the sky, but I suspect several of them have simply had evolving priorities in life...had kids, switched jobs, graduated from school, etc. and aren't on the forums as much.

For me personally, this has always been a really good distraction/escape from whatever s**t I've had going on in my life at any given moment over the last 22 years, so I've never really lost interest and am always lurking.

Thanks for the info, I appriciate it.
If I remember correctly in 2024 the admins were clearing out inactive users and inadvertently trashed a ton of active ones by mistake, which reset everyone’s “Joined On” to whenever they next logged in at the time.

I believe you are correct, sir. I remember having to reregister when they did that. Lost all my post history.

I did uplink from phone. Didn't know that mattered.

I copied and pasted the link to the forum and got over 700 entrees. That one was from 2010 and I can open threads up. On that one. But not on any of the other threads from 2015 and beyond. Just the name. But it would show who posted the topic and everyone on the forum at the time.

Pretty cool to look through some of the topics of the day.

Many missing peeps

Tommy is still on here, or some one acting like him.
Billy P was a creepy jersey chaser, who got mad because a Hardees, where Eric Johnson was supposed to be for a signing, closed the event earlier. He literally wanted apologies by Hardees corporate, Blues, and EJ. And the Players on the team, at that time felt he was creepy, loved his passion, but he was a Jersey chaser, which creeped them out.

Mr.L
Dude who had a nick about winning a cup before he died, hope he was alive for the the cup run.
So many, so many changed nicks.

It was funny back then how big of nancies Cardinal fans were. Any news by media about Blues was ridiculed, and hated. They never understood how ALL of the towns teams represent the city/county/area. Times have changed, they are more of a 2,3 sport fans now. They were so fragile back then.

Quite a few of us still around from even further back than the only real archive. I remember talking about Paul Kariya on here as a major signing (though as StaryFury or FurySK back then).

I don't really dislike most of the people from back then. Some were weird folks at times, but a lot of people really into hockey at heart and thats what was talked about, so i enjoyed it then.

Yep…that was Beatoni. He was a good poster
Yep, extremely level headed, very knowledgeable and just loved to talk hockey and the Blues.

Are you thinking of SRV (Stevie Ray Vaughn)….?

There was one before where over half the forum got suspended and banned for a thread. It was mentioned earlier it was a "hot girl" thread or something to that nature, and if you so much as typed a word in it you got suspended at minimum but banned most likely no matter your posting history.

I was not on the forum that day so I missed it, but that's when one of the guys made the other forum. Never really saw a whole a lot of a traffic though, don't even know if its still around to be honest.

ah yes. Battra is another good one as some folks have mentioned. And yes, the mystery man Siberian Tiger, forgot about him.

Separately...count me as one of those who's also a little surprised that Seattle is banned. Could he be a little prickly sometimes, maybe? But in the grand scheme of things it seems a little excessive for him to be banned. Good poster, he's probably watching those Thunderbirds games and would have good insight.
Battra was a great poster. Was Nighthawk on here or the Cards board?
Battra was perhaps the most congenial posters in here ever. I don’t think we aligned politically based on some of his posts, but he made his points if he disagreed with you in a very fair manner. And if you disagreed with him he responded in a very polite way as well. He knew his hockey. Always respected his posts. Glad to read he is doing well.
I actually hung out with Battra a few times, soccer games, river otters games, and we had lunch one day at Hobos in St. Peter’s . We were friends on Facebook but he stopped talking to me because of differing political views.
Went to Hobo’s myself just the other day. I actually live nearby. Great little hole in the wall place.

Sucks about battra, but at least you know how he feels about you. A little closure is always nice.
Hobo’s pizza, chicken and fish is the tiiiiits! I order take out from there once a month.
One of the best small restaurants in the area. Havana 1961 is amazing too if you’ve never been
Hmmm, I think my son mentioned that Restaurant before, but I have no idea where it’s at, what’s it near?
It’s like 2-3 doors down from Hobo’s it’s next to an auto shop. You can’t miss the place. It sort of stands out.
Hmm, Im surprised I haven’t seen it then, but it is now on the To Do list!
You literally can’t miss it. It stands out.

Try the croquetas

I always loved his posts and then years ago we figured out that we share a common friend that we’re close with - he’s a good dude and he’s doing great these days….I know he still posts during the season.
