ah yes. Battra is another good one as some folks have mentioned. And yes, the mystery man Siberian Tiger, forgot about him.

Separately...count me as one of those who's also a little surprised that Seattle is banned. Could he be a little prickly sometimes, maybe? But in the grand scheme of things it seems a little excessive for him to be banned. Good poster, he's probably watching those Thunderbirds games and would have good insight.
Battra was a great poster. Was Nighthawk on here or the Cards board?
Battra was perhaps the most congenial posters in here ever. I don’t think we aligned politically based on some of his posts, but he made his points if he disagreed with you in a very fair manner. And if you disagreed with him he responded in a very polite way as well. He knew his hockey. Always respected his posts. Glad to read he is doing well.
I actually hung out with Battra a few times, soccer games, river otters games, and we had lunch one day at Hobos in St. Peter’s . We were friends on Facebook but he stopped talking to me because of differing political views.
Went to Hobo’s myself just the other day. I actually live nearby. Great little hole in the wall place.

Sucks about battra, but at least you know how he feels about you. A little closure is always nice.
Hobo’s pizza, chicken and fish is the tiiiiits! I order take out from there once a month.
One of the best small restaurants in the area. Havana 1961 is amazing too if you’ve never been
Hmmm, I think my son mentioned that Restaurant before, but I have no idea where it’s at, what’s it near?

I distinctly remember Robb K's profile pic, dude had a rowdy beard. And yes Tommy was a psycho. Poor Billy P. would catch a lot of strays about a Hardee's incident with Erik Johnson, if I remember correctly.
Hipcheck became Blues16w after the cup win and most recently Jeff Goldblum who has apparently been banned, haven't seen him in a couple of months.
Aesa I don't think Blues16 and Goldblum are the same.

Not imo anyway,
Dude, I can pretty much guarantee they’re the same. If my posting history hasn’t been wiped out by any of the notorious downgrades here, then you can even see me getting him to admit scottie18, blues16 and Hipcheck were all him…and a few weeks ago after I ripped into his Goldblum nick for startin sheeet with Seattle first, then MiamLaw a couple weeks later, he was silent when I exposed him again. Lol He’s easy as hell to see him comin a mile away each time cause he doesn’t change his mannerisms, typin style, or his nonstop attack antics every single time he comes barging in with a new account.

Just a little tidbit about turds, clones, and their antics in general..I use to run the largest most popular MSN group (trust me, I dont mean that in a braggin way), and I had to constantly be on the lookout for banned members trying to to sneak back into the chatroom and message boards, and I became quite proficient and pretty damñ good at nailing them everytime, especially after MSN blocked ip lookup tools that use to help me.

To this day i’m still surprised at how many people don’t realize when a former member on Blues talk is back with their new Nick, then I realize it’s because they haven’t spent and wasted all of the many hours that I have becoming pretty good at it :)

I will take all that into consideration....if I even want to consider this much further.

If I'm not right Goldblum was full of short one liners whereas 16 would write mini books on how right he was and how wrong others were......with some of the thinnest skin on the board as he did it.

It doesn't really matter....but I'll rethink this a bit because of your certainty. I just don't see it.

Hobo’s is over in Old town St. Peter’s. If you are heading 70 west , head right on Mid Rivers mall drive and then left on Main Street I think it is. It’s a half mile down on the left hand side. If you got at normal dinner times on the weekends prepare for a long line. Best fried chicken in St. Louis

All good my friend, I dig you bein an independent thinker, but if someone puts a gun to my head and makes me choose yes or no to the thought provoking question: Is Hipcheck the artists formerly known as Blues16, Scottie18, Jeff Goldblum and the myriad of other clones, Im pickin Y E S. :)

Altho, it is kind of entertaining guessing which turds are which clones in a sick, twisted, morbid way.

This is probably going back to 2008-2010, but there was a poster whose name was similar to OptimusPrime, just slightly different, like rodimusprime? He disappeared quite abruptly. He was a good and knowledgeable poster.

Anyway I swapped books to read with the poster I was looking for, I believe he was from St.Louis City. I live out in the country and we used to joke aroung with each other about that. Maybe he'll see this and speak up.
I think what happens is, every few years the Post Dispatch swaps out whatever back end platform they're using to host the forums. Each time it happens, it seems to wipe out everyone's user history, but you can still log in under your username etc. I suspect one of those changeouts happened in 2024, which is why your "joined on" date reflects it.

Beatoni! Yeah, He was a great poster. The nostalgia in this thread is indeed pretty high.

I wonder where a lot of these folks are? I know a couple of them have passed on to the great Blues Talk forum in the sky, but I suspect several of them have simply had evolving priorities in life...had kids, switched jobs, graduated from school, etc. and aren't on the forums as much.

For me personally, this has always been a really good distraction/escape from whatever s**t I've had going on in my life at any given moment over the last 22 years, so I've never really lost interest and am always lurking.
