He should get quite a few games in at the end of the season and hopefully be at full speed next season. He wasn't full speed at the beginning of this season, just starting to come around with former separation speed and aggressiveness. Have to hope there's no lingering mental hesitancy in his game.
A negative post that starts out with “it’s good news….” Lol

Half the top-six out on IR. Pick a team and give us half their top-6.

The condensed schedule certainly doesn’t help. We all knew it was coming but I didn’t expect to see 3 games in 4 nights pretty much every week. Crazy we made it until December 1st before getting any serious injuries.

In the past 2 weeks and we lost what 30% of our starting forward group? 50% of our top 6!

Not what the #stlblues needed, in a drill, Dylan Holloway not putting any weight on his leg after being tripped and helped off the ice.
Heading to Johnny Mac's to get the old CCM's sharpened up. They're gonna need me any day now.
I gave my old Tacks to my daughter with the caveat to never give them back, no matter how much I beg her.
I have a set of Pro Tacks that I’ve had for years.

Best skates I’ve ever owned.
But are your skates baked? They bake them when you buy them up here in MN, to conform the sole to your feet. I hope they do the same back home.

Simple question - is Dylan injury-prone? If so, a long-term contract should be considered cautiously.

My 16 year old son son will 100% agree with you, he loves his CCM Tacks XF. He will not wear anything else.
They’re heavier than other skates (or at least used to be) but they’re very well balanced and support wider feet really well. I’ve had those for probably 20 years.

We baked them when I bought them and then I went into another machine that was supposed to push them and help confirm too my feet.

Different injury than last year plus they said he tripped or was tripped at practice. Don't see how that can be seen as injury prone.

I wouldn't say Hollywood is injury prone. But this does mess with his contract negotiations. There's always a silver lining in all of this. It might enable us to get a good player with the leftover room that will be left on that contract. He's not going to be able to ink a big deal because production won't match value.

That being said, all the doom and gloomers. You should be happy you get to see a team "tanking". I for one will continue to root the team on and hope that they find a way to play inspired hockey. There are still good players out there skating. 5 of the 6 defenders look decent to good. Thomas/Buchy/Neighbours/Schenn need to carry a huge load. The 2nd tier of Joseph/Suter/ torpedo if he can play the way we know is decent enough to get us to the 3rd line. The problem starts there, fabbri has middle 6 experience, Bjug once his concussion is done can hang. Sunny can hang. It gets scary with Luff/Dvorsky/Mcging. Dvorsky just isn't where we need him to be to be able to weather the storm.

Will be fun tho. Would be quite the story if the boys play some decent hockey between today and the new year.

I think he's looking at a 2 or 3 year bridge contract at this point. Nothing long term.

Indeed. But still one to NOT try to rush back into...they can linger long term. Get it healed and it shouldn't be an issue in the future.
That's likely caught-a-rut situation. A problem with repetitive hard skating drills in the same area of ice. And I do not think it is accurate to characterize him as a "glass man" injury prone. He does not shy away. He plays hard, goes with the territory.
