With all due respect.....you need to table the OF “power” concern for now.
First of all....how about we figure out:
Can Scott make enough contact and raise his OBP so his speed becomes a big factor?
Can Walker improve his plate discipline and become a more consistent hitter?
Can Noot stay healthy and FINALLY stop being a tease?
Is Church a player?
Does Herrera’s bat play better in LF?
Enough with the fixation on power.
What do YOU THINK?????
There is little upside to getting a temporary player IMO.
I'd much rather see how it plays out is bad as it may be.
Now if they find an higher upside player through a trade, all for it.
How about getting Mike Sirota from the Dodgers in a deal for Romero?

Romero: 6.3
What else are you prepared to add to the package (that the Dodgers would actually want)? Keep in mind that trading valuable prospects and rostered players with several years of control is entirely counterproductive to the rebuild.
Doesn't Burleson's BTV approximate Sirota's? Too bad their ML club is so stacked as that could have been a good trade. The Cards need all the OF prospects they could get and Gorman or Herrera could have filled 1B.

Burleson: 17.8
It appears Burleson's BTV (i.e., estimated surplus value) went down after his arbitration agreement. It was 22.5 previously.

on the amount of struggles and the player.
The RH bat may indeed be a Saggese, Valazquez, Ramos, or Fermin at this time.
Whoever rakes for 6-7 weeks. Imagine 6+ HR's may win a roster spot for that one reason.
After that the shuffle might be on, and little will surprise me except being fully healthy.

When will the consensus change on CT and complain we should have addressed the OF in offseason? I think by June most will criticize Bloom for being inactive in this area. The OF is going to be awful.

WHAT??? He's the worst outfielder in the major leagues (an unheard of -90!! career DRS). That's why he's only a DH and the Phillies had to release him. Do you even watch games??
