Please dont quote my posts, as a sometimes critic of Armstrong myself, even I see through your lame transparent schtick that has absolutely nothing to do with having legitimate back and forth discussions about the team, pro and con…and youve made it blatantly clear you’re all con, and I dont want your stanky stench assaulting my virtuous vulnerabilities. Thank you unkindly.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑20 Aug 2025 06:40 amWhat? Are you questioning the Army way?SameOldBlues wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 06:24 am Army wanting some sideshow entertainment? Army absolutely needs desperate veterans fighting to stay in the league -- that have ZERO chance of staying with the club for more than a couple years -- to cover his A.
Yes, these old players do take the place of young prospects that should be playing, but they serve a great purpose. The paying customers don't care how far the team will ever go. They just want playoff tickets.

It's fine with me. The guy did some bad, bad stuff while also being a hockey player with lots of money, it happens. In my life, I made some bad decisions (without all the money), some folks do. There were years when I would have liked having him skate with our boys. He "was" a very noticeable presence. Minus the baggage off the ice, he paid his dues and I don't mind giving the guy a shot. No matter what, to have anything to do with this team, he still has to be a hockey player.

You bet. I won't quote you anymore. I don't care if you quote me or not. I see that you couldn't deny what I said. Thanks.

At least he is a veteran presence in the room with all the young guys in camp. If nothing else he can teach them how to drink and how to keep their pimp hand strong.

Well 2 years ago he had 20+ goals and 45 points. The last time Lucic did that was 2 years before the Blues won the Stanley Cup.thegibby. wrote: ↑21 Aug 2025 17:38 pmWhat's the Narrator say about the Bjugstad version?STL fan in MN wrote: ↑21 Aug 2025 14:52 pmAre the Blues getting the 2010 version of Lucic though?thegibby. wrote: ↑21 Aug 2025 12:09 pmJust brought up my Lucic 2010 Winter Classic jersey from the basement. Re: Milan Lucic on a PTO
Bjugstad is an injury waiting to happen (again) and also slow x 2yrs ($3.5m total). Lucic is still tough as nails scary and would be at league mins for 1 season.bluetunehead wrote: ↑21 Aug 2025 20:21 pmWell 2 years ago he had 20+ goals and 45 points. He says that Bjugstad is 33, not 37, and is now a full year+ recovered from back surgery so has a chance to bounce back a bit.thegibby. wrote: ↑21 Aug 2025 17:38 pmWhat's the Narrator say about the Bjugstad version?STL fan in MN wrote: ↑21 Aug 2025 14:52 pmAre the Blues getting the 2010 version of Lucic though?thegibby. wrote: ↑21 Aug 2025 12:09 pmJust brought up my Lucic 2010 Winter Classic jersey from the basement. Re: Milan Lucic on a PTO
I didn't hear it myself, but someone posted in a Blues Facebook group that JR was on 101 today saying this is a very much for real opportunity, and Lucic is in the best shape of his life etc. That he has a real chance of making the team and they would instantly have one of the top few toughest guys in the league. Anyone hear this?
