I hope Looch makes the team! He will bring that edge when needed! With the young guys, he might just be a need. Hope he comes in and has a great camp!

Don't forget that camp often is its own animal, with its own needs. Army could be looking for any number of influences on any number of young roster players, not to mention wanting to assess a prospective coach or advisor within the system.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 10:22 am I guess I’m fine with it. He seems washed and I’m not thrilled with the domestic abuse angle but he also seems like he’s in a much better place than he was 2-3 years ago and his wife now supports him again. Doesn’t excuse what he did but given Lucic would’ve played for Monty in Boston and Monty’s own alcoholism and redemption story, I’m not surprised we’re giving him a chance.
At the end of the day, I don’t expect him to earn a spot. But you also don’t really know what all might transpire. Maybe one of Tex or Joseph gets moved and Lucic will show enough to stick around as the 14th forward on a league min contract. I guess we’ll see in camp/preseason.

Yep, could be as simple as needing the right number of bodies for early camp scrimmages, making sure you meet the vet requirement of preseason games and/or simply adding some competition and a fierce competitor to camp to help ensure practices are high level. If he surprises and actually impresses, then great! It’s unlikely but it could happen.schwartzwatch wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 14:32 pmDon't forget that camp often is its own animal, with its own needs. And I suppose one could argue that while 35 yr old Lucic looked washed so why would 37 yr old Lucic be any better after not playing for close to 2 seasons?…one could also argue that that was an alcoholic Lucic and maybe he’ll have an extra jump in his step now that he’s clean. Again, unlikely but I guess we’ll see.

Thanks. Eliteprospects has him listed as going to UMass for 2026-27 but I guess he’s going in a year earlier than originally planned. He’s ready for it though. That seemed to be happening a lot more often these days. The NCAA is going to get a bit younger on average IMO.BalotelliMassive wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 13:37 pmUMASS

Peach was tongue and cheek. It was in an Italian store (surprise). He’s an angry guy with a short fuse.KarmaFTMFW wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 17:29 pmI’m surprised you think he’s a peach. Didn’t he crash his truck into a Tim Horton’s and lie to the Police? Oh wait, he just knocked his old lady around a bit and was arrested, my bad, he is a peach, carry on.
You associate ROR with multiple crimes too…don’t worry, you’re not alone

The hockey reddit thread on this signing was highly entertaining. Best meme is the harold and kumar ryan reynolds gif "but why"

Yeah Mr. Cool seeing Lucic in an Italian place. My coworker is close friends with Neighbours.

What? Are you questioning the Army way?SameOldBlues wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025 06:24 am Army wanting some sideshow entertainment? He’s 37 with tough miles on his body. Hope it doesn’t take any meaningful developmental time away from a prospect.
Army absolutely needs desperate veterans fighting to stay in the league -- that have ZERO chance of staying with the club for more than a couple years -- to cover his A.
Yes, these old players do take the place of young prospects that should be playing, but they serve a great purpose. The paying customers don't care how far the team will ever go. They just want playoff tickets.
Re: Milan Lucic on a PTO
Yep think of the tickets to preseason games they will sell now! People are already lining up to buy so they can watch Milan Lucic!!

Blues Ownership and Management only cares about one thing. Can we sell them playoff tickets?
Re: Milan Lucic on a PTO
How ironic you criticizing others for only caring about one thing. Are you always a hypocritical tool, or just when you troll on hockey forums?a smell of green grass wrote: ↑20 Aug 2025 10:37 amSTL fans only care about one thing,.
