Some things are unforgivable, sexual assault is one of them.

Can't believe Mo brought this guy into the organization and now promotes him to St. Louis.
One instance and he wasn't charged.
lol....hypocrite
But if Mo signed Bauer cranny would suddenly become a big fan of Bauers and think it’s a great move
I seriously doubt it. Bauer has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault. The beat goes on.

Poza had one incident involving other players nine years ago. When he was 18 and the other kid was 16.
Foolish, but a one off occurance.
It was years ago and nothing more has come to light, but i wouldnt write off and downplay sexual assualt of a minor as just "foolish".

Thats severely underselling
I’m thinking we did some really foolish things to date. Don’t we all. Yet other than a memory we escaped the claws of fate. To be who we have learned to be. A good human.

Don’t let the past remind us, of what we are not now. There has to be some credit given to the humans, for their abilities to learn from foolish behavior.

I know it’s not universal, but it does happen. Musings of a former fool. Ha.

While I agree w/ your premise SBD.... I draw the line at sexually assaulting a minor.

I don’t know what that means in this case. Sexual assault in this case. No charges. So I’m assuming it was some kid level stuff that many do. I’m with you.

Lots of reasons no charges get filed. Don’t know if the victim refused to cooperate at a certain point, went home never to return etc. doesn’t always mean innocent.

While I understand your kids will be kids sentiment, there is a certain line that stops being the case. Sexual abuse/ hazing would be over that line.

My two cents.

The victims never even reported it.

Stigma of boys claiming sexual assualt is already bad im the us, and worse back then, and its probably only worse in the dr.

There was a snapchat video sent between teammates joking about the incident and one of the teammates not involved or assualted reported it to his coach

"Let he without sin, cast the first stone." People make mistakes and we all know testosterone fueled boys in a mans body make plenty. This is not the church choir we are debating here. These are ball players paid to hit, throw and field a ball around the grass. All sports have some sort of hazing ritual at different levels. Stupid kids, do stupid stuff. Probably no more than them being made to do something sexually suggestive. With all that said I do not condone the behavior, never have, never will. Just never been someone that gets pleasure in hurting or disrespecting someone else, whether physical or mental. I won't start it, but I durn well learned how to finish it though. I am more interested in if it was a pattern of behavior. He has had 9 years to be involved in something else again, and apparently kept his nose clean. We all deserve a second chance, and sometimes a 3rd. Not sexual assault though. You get one do over and that's if it was minor to begin with. A real violating sexual assault like rape and your done after the first time in my book. Some things you just should know what is right and wrong. He would not have made it 9 years through the minors without that issue being looked at numerous times and deemed not worthy of ruining a career over, apparently.

I played baseball in high school and college and was in a frat in college and both hazed and got hazed but if someone said hey let’s haze this guy by holding him down and doing that I would say are freaking crazy no way And if they tried to hold me down and do that to me there would be a fight

"Prosecutors in the Dominican Republic plan to charge at least four players allegedly involved in the assault, according to a Yahoo! Sports report.

Authorities in the Dominican Republic confirmed Tuesday that they are investigating the prospects, who are accused of sexually assaulting six underage teammates."

Understand the DR legal system before believing "boys will be boys" fits this situation. Justice is meted out by price per pound.

Haven not seen any STL reporters reporting this.

It is newsworthy and goes against everything BDW supposedly stands for.

You are talking to a poster who once made an 8 or 80 type comment so this isn't surprising

No offense sikeston, and not to be a prude or condemn, but i can tell from your posts that you and i liced in very different worlds.

The things you think were normal for people to do(im not saying based on this topic but from what ive noticed in general) and your boys be boys or young people be idiots attitude, was unfathomable to be treated as normal in my community. Thats [shirt] wouldnt fly where i came from and whem things did happen, they were harshly judged and much rarer.

I dont believe anyone is beyond redemption and people deserve second chances, and by all means, it appears pozo hasnt been invilved in any more incidentsnit appears.

But i firmly believe that having a laissez faire attitude towards bad behavior and the its nornak for people to be crazy attitude- is what contributes to so many young people in certain communities doing [shirt] like this amd thinking it is okay. And that downplaying it. Only leadsnto more people being victimized and people doing [shirt] like this. When i got to college, it horrified me how stupid peolle were and what went on cuz i was raised firmly against that [shirt].

With all do respect and not to judge ykur life i know little about but, if you grew up in my community, you would never have done a lot of the stupid [shirt] you probably did. And i am a firm believer that people need to be less accepting of this [shirt] cuz acting like its nothing sends that same message to young people and thats not the message we should be sending.
