Judge didn’t do anything until he was 25.OldRed wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 12:07 pm He is exactly the kind of player the Cardinals would trade for. A 23-year-old with a world of potential talent. I can't see him being traded.
Dave Parker at the same age:

I saw Dave Parker play.
OldRed, Walker is no Dave Parker.
(Nod to 1988 VP debate)
No. He goes to the minors and earns his way onto the team.11WSChamps wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 14:43 pm You have to play him.
He may be too far gone and probably is but what existing choices do you have.
There isn't one.
Give him all the AB's in ST you can and stat him day one in RF and leave him there.
Sometimes a player just has to figure it out on his own.
The team has nothing to lose in doing this.
But he does get worse as a hitter, every yearsikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑28 Dec 2025 06:52 am I think he cant hit any worse. Can only get better. That in itself is like a trade.

I know. That’s my deal. He has to bottom out. He just about has to hit better. If he ever does improve, the degree of improved performance will go a long way towards dealing with the right field crisis.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑28 Dec 2025 07:56 amBut he does get worse as a hitter, every yearsikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑28 Dec 2025 06:52 am I think he cant hit any worse. His OPS+ was a pathetic 66![]()

Dumb to have him on club when he has so many holes - and Oli's excuse that he won't see the best pitching down there is dumb.

2026 is a throw away. Let him sink or swim here or cut bait.
No more training wheels.
