Multiple years of team control.
Doesn’t make squat.
Trade value low.
Isn’t blocking anyone.
Option year also a bonus.
Yep. So simple. Clueless CT making anything else from this

Dave Parker at the same age:

Judge didn’t do anything until he was 25.

I think he cant hit any worse. Can only get better. That in itself is like a trade.

OldRed, I met Dave Parker.
I saw Dave Parker play.
OldRed, Walker is no Dave Parker.

(Nod to 1988 VP debate)
I was making a comparison of their hitting at a certain age.

He may be too far gone and probably is but what existing choices do you have.

There isn't one.

Give him all the AB's in ST you can and stat him day one in RF and leave him there.

Sometimes a player just has to figure it out on his own.

The team has nothing to lose in doing this.
No. He goes to the minors and earns his way onto the team.

Agree, he is way too young to give up on. On the other hand, Gorman lacks a lot and also has reoccurring back problems.
Unless Walker shows significant improvement, 2026 will be his last year in STL, regardless of what Dave Parker did in the 1970’s.

But he does get worse as a hitter, every year

His OPS+ was a pathetic 66

Dumb to have him on club when he has so many holes - and Oli's excuse that he won't see the best pitching down there is dumb.

I know. That’s my deal. He has to bottom out. He just about has to hit better. If he ever does improve, the degree of improved performance will go a long way towards dealing with the right field crisis.

He's been in the minors before.

2026 is a throw away. Let him sink or swim here or cut bait.

No more training wheels.

That's funny.

And besides Burleson who's now clear to play first base and Herrera who's supposed to recapture the catching job which one of those guys besides Noobar (coming off surgery) has done anything at the ML level?

You're as delusional as ozzie.

Dave Parker the HOFer?
Doesn't have the electric arm of Dave, nor the plate discipline.
Will never hit like Dave nor play RF like Dave.
Really a silly comparison.
We already had idiots saying he was the next Dave Winfield on this stupid forum 3 or 4 years ago.
The only thing he shares with Dave is the color of his skin.
Nothing else.
