The funny thing is Tony, is your cat’s post is not the most unintelligible thing posted on here in the course of a day. Hell, it might not even be in the top 10!Tony Palazzolo wrote: ↑09 Dec 2025 13:35 pmThat is exactly what happened. Re: 3-0-0 without Kyrou. 8-12-7 With Kyrou
Still way too early to make the comparison but there was no denying that, during the seasons of 19-20 and 20-21, the Blues record without Tarasenko in the lineup was drastically better than when he was... Just saying...
AI Overview
During the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 NHL regular seasons, the St. Louis Blues had a significantly better record when Vladimir Tarasenko was not in the lineup. This was largely due to Tarasenko missing most of both seasons due to recurring shoulder injuries.
2019-2020 NHL Regular Season (71 games total)
Vladimir Tarasenko only played in 10 games during this season.
With Tarasenko in the lineup: The Blues' record was 5-4-1 (W-L-OTL) across the 10 games he played in before sustaining his injury.
Without Tarasenko in the lineup: The Blues' record was 37-15-9 across the other 61 games, during which they finished 1st in the Central Division.
2020-2021 NHL Regular Season (56 games total)
Tarasenko played in 24 games this season, returning later in the season after recovering from another shoulder surgery.
With Tarasenko in the lineup: The Blues' record was approximately 10-12-2 in the games he played.
Without Tarasenko in the lineup: The Blues' record was approximately 17-8-7 in the 32 games he missed.
As AI stated, I'm sure a lot of it had to do with his shoulder and the fact he wasn't 100%, as the team was terrific the next season when Vlad had final full season (and a career year statistically) with the Blues.
But the fact remains, simply have your "best player" on the ice, doesn't always mean it helps the team. I'm not nearly as sour on Kyrou as I was on Vladdy, though, especially with how well Jordan's improved his defenisve game the last 2 seasons.

Re: 3-0-0 without Kyrou. 8-12-7 With Kyrou
Update
Blues are 11-16-7 with Kyrou (11 wins in 34 games) 3.6 goals against
And 6-4-1 when he is out 2.81 goals against
4 points in his last 14 games (2 goals, 2 assists)
1 points in his last 8
0 goals in his last 9 games
Most interesting stat:
Hofer has a 4-7-2 record in 16 games (13 starts) when Kyrou plays.
3.47 GAA and an .876 save pct
Hofer is 5-2 in 8 games (7 starts) when Kyrou doesn't play
1.92 GAA and a .934 save pct
Kyrou and Binnington
Stop playing these two, and the team likely makes the playoffs.

Yes yes. . . Kyrou is the spawn of Satan and should be put on a rocket and fired into the sun. Next.

Should have been gone a long time ago. What a waste of mediocre talent.

Kyrou belongs in the East.
Re: 3-0-0 without Kyrou. 8-12-7 With Kyrou
I've always been in between on Kyrou.
It is hard to find guys that can create their own offense for sure but the fact that here we are, another year later discussing the same things with this guy has turned me toward preferring he be gone.
That said, if they decide to keep him, I am definitely sick of him being held to a higher standard than others. Either accept what he is and keep rolling him out there or move him.
Brett Hull was one of the greatest goal scorers of all time but as the main guy here we always fell short.
As a lesser cog with better teams he won Cups.
Kyrou is no Hull.

Kyrou has the hockey IQ and the compete level of a gerbil.
The last time he appeared to be "dynamic" was April of 2025.
Watch the f#cker play, for Christ's sake.
It's sickening most times.
Six foot one and 190 pounds of cold feet.
He is taller than Faulk and plays like a Mite.
Folks that wank to highlight reels just won't let him go...
Folks who enjoy winning playoff games swallow bile and get ulcers.
A Cup-winning coach, a Jack Adams Coach, and a Rookie Coach who ruined Buchnevich simply to give him a hard-working center could not put Kyrou together.
You can NOT skate on the same ice, work hard and COMPETE with an entitled spectator collecting his 65 million dollars, smoothing his skirts as he tries to find an open spot that is safe from harm.
He drags the team down to his puke level.

What was our record without Parayko during that stretch?

All right I'm finally getting a tat: Kyrou has the hockey IQ and the compete level of a gerbil.

It is bulletproof, it was true most all the last three seasons, its been true all of this season.... I don't see him attending Remedial Hockey Academy for gerbils, so- wear it with truth. I would picture it with a pleated skirt , maybe some dainty ruffles.
It wouldn't be so awful if he skated really fast once every game. I reckon that is also too damned risky. That ice has some scary-looking ruts. Even at the beginning of periods.
This team does play better without him

But, but what about his beautiful toe drags? Until Stanley came along.Harry York 37 wrote: ↑10 Jan 2026 15:50 pmIt is bulletproof, it was true most all the last three seasons, its been true all of this season.... I've never been a big Kyrou fan and wanted him gone for a while now. I try and try to give him some leeway, but I can't stand the o-line turnovers and dumb passes. He should be smarter for being one of the "top guys".
If he would just be a shooter....like shoot all the time, I'd probably like him more.
He's projecting to have 15 goals this year. Totally unacceptable.

Kyrou has is deficits, as every player has. Dumping the team's problems on him, based on those stats, is a reach.
Conversely, Blues are 10-5-5 when Kessel plays, and 7-15-3 when he doesn't. Does that make him the savior?
